Shin is a slim, youthful-looking young man of average height. He has medium-length blond hair and large blue eyes (black in the manga). His first appearance shows Shin wearing an open leather jacket over a simple T-shirt, baggy dark pants, and brightly colored tennis shoes. Later, he often appears in his work attire, which consists of a collared dress shirt, trousers, and a green apron. His outfit tends to vary as the chapters progress, but it always maintains the same basic apron pattern.

Shin is an honest, straightforward, and composed young man. He generally maintains his calm and composure even in serious situations, though this can occasionally be interrupted by comical outbursts of anger, irritation, or fear in response to mundane stimuli. Shin is confident but not arrogant, and he remains analytical in battle. He prides himself on his foresight, knows his strengths and limitations, and understands how to apply them effectively in combat.

Shin possesses immense determination and willpower. This, coupled with his loyalty, kind nature, and zest for life, allows him to keep fighting against all odds. Like many others, Shin respects and admires Sakamoto.
