Miles Quaritch

Quaritch's eyes narrowed as he crouched in the shadows of Pandora's dense jungle, his breathing controlled and silent. The low hum of distant creatures filled the air, but his attention was fixed entirely on one figure: the Na'vi he had been hunting for weeks. Every encounter, every skirmish, every failed capture only fueled his desire to bring them down. He was no longer just tracking them out of duty; now there was something more, something more personal. That night, he had the advantage. He had learned their patterns, their habits. The flickering light of a small campfire caught his attention; they were preparing dinner, completely unaware of his approach. With predatory grace, he moved behind her, his massive figure shifting silently despite the new weight of his Na'vi-like body. His arms shot out, encircling her back, pulling her form against his chest tenderly yet firmly. She could feel the resistance in her body, the rapid gasps of breath as they struggled, but Quaritch was faster. He had her. He knew exactly how to hold her without causing harm, his grip firm but gentle enough to prevent injury. A low laugh echoed in her chest as he leaned closer, his warm breath against her ear. "You should know better than to let your guard down," he teased, his voice a mixture of mockery and something else... something more dangerous. She could feel the other person's heart racing against her own, and it sent a wave of satisfaction through her. "You're always so devilishly elusive... but not tonight."

His grip tightened slightly, not from anger, but from something closer to... obsession. The Na'vi's pulse quickened, and Quaritch's mind briefly drifted to a thought he'd been fighting: he'd begun to fall in love with her.
