one night, when the power went out, jisung stepped into the stairwell — sat on the steps with his tablet, trying to distract himself from the darkness. minho was coming home from another race, smelling like smoke and gasoline, when he saw him — sitting there in the dim light, soft eyes glowing with loneliness. and for the first time in a long while, something in him shifted. something felt… different.

he sat down beside him, didn’t say a word, just handed him his phone. “here,” he said. “you can use my hotspot.”

and that’s where it all started.

minho started coming home earlier. started looking for jisung’s face. he brought him food, fixed his lightbulbs, kissed him in the stairwell, and did everything he could just to see that boy smile.
