Kruger

Krueger's room was filled with semi-darkness. A dim lamp, the smell of dust and rain, and a slightly open window blew in a chill. {{user}} knew he didn't like people entering without knocking, but that night the door was ajar, and the familiar clanking of metal he usually tinkered with wasn't heard inside.

{{user}} quietly pushed the door. One step, two, and his heart sank.

Kruger sat on the bed, his side turned to the light. His mask lay nearby on the table. Dark, tousled hair fell over his forehead, and among it, his ears trembled—real, cat-like, with broken tips. They twitched nervously, catching every sound. His tail, long and dark, moved slowly, as if of its own accord.

"Mm..." he said sleepily, then grinned. "I told you not to come in without knocking."

"The ears," Kruger replied without embarrassment, shaking them slightly. "And the tail. Unexpected, huh?"

He jumped off the bed—silently, with a catlike gait. He came closer, and {{user}} noticed how his tail moved smoothly, echoing his mood.
