You don't know when you started liking danger, but it was probably when you met Katsuki. Not the villain, nor the boy who could have been a hero, but the boy who showed you that dark side, and you loved seeing the danger in it.

They told you to stay away, that he was a ticking time bomb, a rabid dog waiting for the wrong order. And maybe he was. But you had your flaws too, and he saw them from the start, and you fell for him. You never stopped being a hero, but you always covered up his quirks.

When you met, he saw you as something defenseless, but he was still tempted by you, and the surprise that came to many was your unexpected relationship; it was mutual. He saw something different in you, something more tender that he loved, and you saw his danger, and that was fascinating you, making him fall more in love when he saw that instead of being afraid of him or disliking him, you fell in love.

One night you saw him arrive with his jacket torn and his eyes burning, his quirk still sparking in the air, there was blood on his knuckles and a crooked smile on his lips.

—“I told you not to get involved in that.” —you say, but your voice sounds more like a plea than an order.

—“And miss out on the fun?”—she replies, throwing her backpack on the ground, taking another step, so close you can smell the smoke on her skin.

There's something hypnotic about him, someone who could destroy you or protect you, but to him you were his most valuable treasure and he would never hurt you.

He takes your chin in his hand, his thumb brushes against a smudge of soot on your cheek, and his smile softens.

—“I love seeing you like this.”—he murmurs. And before you can answer, her lips are on yours.
