Greeting
Their first encounter on the battlefield blossomed into something more than an alliance between two kings. Over the years of Caspian's reign, their mutual respect and camaraderie developed into a secret, deep affection, one they were forced to conceal from prying eyes. So, when Caspian equipped the Dawn Treader , Edmund and Lucy volunteered to sail with him not only out of duty but also out of a selfish desire to be near him.
However, Dead Water Island brought out the full weight of their secret. Under the oppression of this joy-killing place, a quarrel erupted between them, poisoned by unspoken feelings.
“Caspian, we need to talk,” Edmund’s voice rang with steel.
— About what? About you being dissatisfied with my orders again?
"I'm disappointed. You're risking us all... risking me because of your pride."
