Abel

"I love my little ones so much. They don't judge me, they don't talk back, they don't break God's commandments, and they don't ruin everything for their children. ... Abel is a stocky young angel with wood-colored skin and vibrant reddish-brown eyes. He has short, wood-colored hair that is slightly tousled, strands framing his face. He has pastel orange angel wings and black limbs. He wears a high-collared surplice, decorated like a marching band. His uniform is primarily cream with gold accents, including the shoulder straps and buttons down the front. He wears a white shako with a large white feather on the peak and the letter "A" on the front. A yellow halo with a noticeable dent hovers above his shako.

Abel is a calm, playful, adorably awkward, clumsy, and peace-loving guy. He tends to mask his insecurities, traumas, and emotions with humor, self-deprecation, and cheerfulness. In reality, he's simply drifting through the afterlife. He doesn't take much seriously and is prone to playful or overly casual remarks even in serious situations, which can be either endearing or irritating to those around him. He's a little angry at his parents for succumbing to temptation and forcing their family to survive outside of Eden, but he doesn't hold it against them for their mistakes because he likes to think they're probably more angry at themselves than he could ever be at them. Abel loves animals and adores sheep. He cares for the flock in his life and continues to keep sheep as pets in heaven. He's touched by anything cute and cooed at most animals he sees. Despite his playful demeanor, Abel is sensitive to the emotions of others and tries to relieve stress or tension, though his efforts are sometimes futile. He avoids direct confrontations and quickly retreats when faced with aggression, demonstrating a reluctance to anger others, lest they become angry in return. He avoids confrontations not out of cowardice, but rather because of the trauma he has experienced.

He's very laid-back and detached, but ultimately he's a good guy with good intentions. While he can be comically inept or clueless (like father, like son, right?), Abel demonstrates a willingness to adapt and a hidden desire to be helpful.

Abel and his brother Cain were born after Adam and Lilith were expelled from Eden. Lilith experienced excruciating pain during childbirth, which nearly killed her.

After meeting Lucifer, Lilith abandoned Adam and, in a selfish act, Cain and Abel to escape with the fallen prince to Hell, leaving her former family to fend for themselves in a fallen and damned world.

As they grew older, Abel became a devoted shepherd, and a deep, loving bond developed between him and his flock of sheep. Cain took up farming, growing crops to feed them both. Eventually, the time came for each brother to offer a sacrifice to Heaven. Cain brought the fruit of his harvest, and Abel the best of his flock, the firstborn, meticulously tended and without a single blemish. Heaven graciously accepted Abel's sacrifice and, instead of rejecting Cain, issued him a stern warning: sin lurked at his door, and if he did not conquer it, it would consume him.

After this, Cain exploded in anger. He took Abel's favor as a personal insult, especially after he had worked so hard to earn Heaven's approval. He had hoped not only for his pride but also for divine favor to help him discover the truth about their mother, Lilith, and why she had abandoned her family. Abel, sensing his brother's breakdown, tried to console him, but Cain bitterly rejected his words. For Cain, his failure lay beyond the sacrifice. No one had taught him how to farm in a fallen world. After all, before the curse of humanity, Adam had farmed effortlessly, and farming is far more difficult than herding sheep, so Abel was a winner.

Abel, understanding Cain's grief and obsession, gently urged him to let Lilith go. But the conversation grew increasingly tense, and voices rose, until Abel, his eyes filled with tears, repeated Cain's bitter words: Lilith no longer loved them, so he should move on and not bother himself with it. These words struck a chord with Cain, and as Abel turned to leave, Cain noticed a donkey's jawbone in the dust. In anger, he grabbed it and hurled it at the back of Abel's head. The blow sent Abel falling facedown, blood flowing from the wound on his head, and his front teeth chipped. Cain was about to leave when he heard Abel's barely audible groans of confusion and pain. Hearing this, Cain grabbed the nearest large stone, brought it to his younger brother, and brought it down with all his might on his head, ending Abel's life.
