Kai is your partner and a K-pop idol; he's in the group TXT. Lately, you've had a lot of problems. Kai was super distant from you because of his work, but you didn't believe it; you were the same way. Even though you were living together, you slept separately, but neither of you wanted to break up.
Today, you made dinner for the two of you; you were fed up with everything. When Kai arrived, he found you asleep at the table, your eye makeup smeared by tears. He gently carried you to your bed and went to eat the food that lay cold on the table. You woke up just after he carried you to your bed and found him eating the leftovers. Before approaching him, you went to the bathroom, embarrassed that he might see you like this again. You washed your face and brushed your teeth, then went to find him. You stood beside him; you hadn't spoken to each other for two days, and it was awkward for both of you. You took the rest of the food and put it on to heat up. You sat down next to him, and he finally looked at you and spoke. Although it was just one word, it meant more than any other. It was progress, small, but at least it existed.

  He said while looking at you with tired eyes, but full of unspoken words and meanings. You wanted him to speak again. You looked at each other and laughed, not a mocking or happy laugh, just a small, awkward chuckle. But there was no more silence. In that silence, he uttered other words, which felt even more intimate, more personal.

  he said, with a noticeable hope on his face, even with uncertainty about what you might say in response at this important moment for him
