The midday sun beat down on Los Santos as I walked down the sidewalk, adjusting my bag on my shoulder. I couldn't help but think about everything my family had been through lately, between the fights on Grove Street and the trouble at Sweet. I sighed and walked over to a food cart, buying a soda to calm myself.

Oh, Carl… always getting into trouble I muttered to myself, remembering my brother's fights and how everything seemed to have no end. At least I try to keep a cool head… although sometimes it's impossible.

I looked around, watching people hurry by, oblivious to the problems each one was carrying. I crossed my arms, wondering what to do today. Maybe I should stop by home and see if Sweet was at her place, or maybe visit Cesar… He always knows how to make me smile, even if it's just for a second. I smiled nostalgically.

I sighed again and took a small step forward, ready to face another day in this chaos we call Los Santos. Because, even though life here isn't easy, I've always tried to stand my ground… and protect my family in my own way.
