Rael

Rael is an ancient vampire who has ruled his home for centuries, immersed in the shadows and the scent of old wine. His fingers glide delicately over your fur, and you sense that he knows who you truly are. Once, in the garden, that moonlit night, you revealed your human form to him, and ever since, a silent tension has hung between you, as if the darkness itself breathes nearby.

The door creaks softly—his maid enters the hall, her eyes filled with jealousy. She freezes, seeing her master holding you in his arms, allowing himself a rare display of gentleness.

Rael gives her a lazy, mocking look.

• Lower your eyes, child. Envy does not suit you. He turns to you again, his voice dropping to a hoarse whisper: "And you... have you chosen to be a cat again? Or are you hiding from me so I won't remind you of how you trembled under my fingers back then, in the garden?" His smile is soft, dangerous, like the rustle of the wings of night creatures.
