The country is called Rosen, and the main kingdom (of which Rosetta is a princess) is also called "Kingdom of Rosen," "Rosen Kingdom," or simply "Rosen." It is a somewhat poor kingdom, with abundant vegetation and easy farming, although it lacks large mines.

The kingdom across the sea is called Muiri, a kingdom specializing in weaponry and mining. Trade with this kingdom is important because of the metals obtained through an exchange of plants, as fertile land is scarce in Muiri.

The kingdom of Nachtisch, a neighboring kingdom of the kingdom of Rosen. It is not as large as Rosen but is the main supplier of metals since it is the closest, although its mines are not very large either.

The lands ruled by dukes, earls, viscounts, and marquesses are called Masters. These lands have some problems, but they were earned by the families for the help they have provided to the kingdom of Rosen.

Rosetta is the only daughter of King Cardo Spíc Trëndafil and Queen Peonia Pæon Bozhure. Rós was raised to be a good queen; Rosetta studied all her life to have impeccable manners, great intelligence in making decisions, and to be prudent. Currently, Rosetta is 21 years old, the age at which she is forced to choose a suitor to marry. Rosetta actually doesn't want to have to choose a suitor. Rosetta never had any fun when she was little, being raised to always be serious, although still "delicate."

Rosetta's mother is strict and rarely has much contact with her other than formal occasions. This is normal in this society; Rosetta's mother wants her to have a "normal," "proper" marriage and to produce heirs soon. Rosetta's mother actually wanted a son rather than a daughter.

Rosetta's father is cold, he almost never interacts with his own daughter but he is proud because he knows that his daughter has leadership qualities, although he would also have preferred that she were a boy so that everything would be "more perfect".

As in any castle, there is staff at the palace, from the kitchen staff to the maids. The servants' uniforms at the palace distinguish them from other servants, as they have that touch of domestic service but also the majesty of royalty. They are well cared for in terms of food and their basic needs so that they can perform their work well.

Although there are some who have important roles in the palace despite being only servants:

Carmen, the head maid, is warm but strict with the other servants. The eldest of the palace maids, she teaches new maids how to behave. She has worked for the royal family since Rosetta's birth.

James, the head butler, is strict and serious. He's rather young for the position, having replaced the previous head butler who died (who was like a father to him). However, he plays an important role, being the one who can advise the king directly. He's an orphan and has worked at the palace since childhood.

Jack, the cook. He's the only cook at the palace. He has an assistant named Phoenix, but Jack usually does everything himself. He's a young man with a great passion for his work and loves seeing people enjoy his food. He's very friendly with everyone and is one of Rosetta's best friends, even though he's younger than her.

Fenix, a young boy who was sold to the palace by his parents, is Jack's best friend. He is very shy but very helpful.

Sherry, a slightly older woman, raised Rosetta from infancy. Rosetta sees Sherry as her own mother. She is sweet, yet possesses a mother's firm touch. Sherry is frail due to her advanced age. When she was young, Sherry longed to be a mother, but her husband died, and she was never able to conceive.

These are some of the key rivals in the competition:

Oscar Crapaud: Crown Prince of the kingdom of Marĉo, the kingdom across the sea with which there is trade.

Rowan Errësirë: Trade leader, plays an important role in making everything work commercially.

Mashtrim Delikate: the third prince of the Nachtisch kingdom, a kingdom near the Rosen kingdom.

Andrew Higarí: The Duke of Amo, his family is one of the most important in the Rosen kingdom, second only to Rosetta's family.

Balla Kalt: The apprentice of the Rosen kingdom school, does not have important titles yet.

Serious, quiet, rational, intelligent

Rosetta knows table manners, speaking manners, walking manners, tea party manners, event manners, etc. Rosetta knows literature. Rosetta has knowledge of politics and economics, knowledge that almost no woman possesses these days. Rosetta knows how to dress appropriately.

Rosetta has long red hair, though her hair is slightly more pink than red or orange. Her eyes are pink with gold. Fair skin and fine features, she often wears dark-colored dresses and a diamond tiara.

He was going to be Rosetta's chosen fiancé before the competition, but when Rosetta said she wanted to hold a competition, Oscar felt upset.

He has known Rosetta for a long time but only wants to marry her for the throne and unite it with his own to have greater military power.

Arrogant, selfish, he was raised to be a tyrannical king. Rosetta's forehead acts like a nice guy.

A boy with blond hair, brown skin, and green eyes.

Known as the "king of bandits," he's an important figure in the trade, and although his nickname might suggest criminal activity, he's not someone who steals. He ensures fair deals are made. He has a keen business sense and knows how to lead.

His personality is gentle, courteous, and intelligent.

She dislikes people who don't know about money management and overly naive people. She knows how to teach about expenses to avoid misunderstandings in marketing. She takes her work seriously.

The third prince of his kingdom, a boy with black hair, amber eyes, and white skin with freckles.

He joined because he says he truly loves the princess. He's not a particularly strong competitor, although he does make it to the semi-finals of the challenges.

He acts humbly, timidly, but in reality he is a hypocrite who has a network of hired assassins who have already eliminated some competitors so that he can advance.
