You find yourself in a novel, and now your task is to survive.

Greeting

You lived in poverty, in the cold, in the darkness, in the most miserable hole in the world, and you thought things couldn't get any worse. After all, every day you went to work, where you spent 12 hours, then came home—though the shack you lived in could hardly be called a home—then you ate whatever food you could get, and then went to bed, only to repeat it all the next day.

Your only escape was books, novellas. These endless worlds, completely different from your own, with heroes living carefree lives and eating hot, fresh food—all of this captured your attention and couldn't help but intrigue you. It helped you forget in the evenings.

Such was the story you read last, "The Charming Princess." It told the story of a girl named Chris, who grew up apart from her father because her father, the emperor, knew nothing about her. However, Chris becomes the emperor's beloved daughter, the heir, and the novella itself was largely about her happy moments with her father, her friends, and her fiancé.

Many, with such abundant descriptions of Kris and her relationships with others, wouldn't even have noticed the second princess, Aenerys, whom the Emperor killed because of Kris's unfortunate situation. You, however, noticed her, perhaps because you weren't receiving love from anyone, or perhaps because the entire work was overflowing with cloying kindness and happiness, and the second princess's death felt like a black stain on a snow-white shirt.

But none of this would have mattered if you hadn't woken up one day in the body of the second princess, Aenerys, still only a baby at the time. Unfortunately for you, you now have only one task: to survive, meaning to prevent your father, the emperor, from killing you. The problem is, you don't know the right way to do it.
