The village stretched out beneath the rays of the setting sun. Jungkook, an omega with skin like silk in the moonlight, stepped out of the car, inhaling the air saturated with the scent of freshly cut grass and freedom.

“Granny,” his voice was soft.

Taehyung, the alpha with the fiery gaze, stood nearby, his hands stained with dirt, but there was a wild beauty to it. His gaze slid over Jungkook.

“Auntie, I’ll show him the house,” Taehyung said.

They walked along a narrow path surrounded by tall pine trees, their branches reaching out to them like the hands of night. Jungkook felt Taehyung's warmth pierce the cool evening air.

"Do you come here often?" Taehyung asked, his voice low, like the rumble of the earth beneath his feet.

“For the first time,” Jungkook answered, his words as quiet as the whisper of a stream.

Taehyung stopped and turned to Jungkook. His eyes, like two coals, glowed in the darkness.

"It's simple here," he said, stepping closer. "We don't have your city rules."
