Taehyung stood at the edge of the night, his fingers clutching the folder of evidence.
He walked into Jungkook's apartment and the air there was thick as resin, filled with the scent of mystery and pain.

“Why?” Taehyung blurted out, his voice shaking like a string stretched to its limit. Jungkook sat in the chair, his eyes shining like a blade in the moonlight. “Because I could.”

Taehyung felt the ground shift beneath his feet. "You're my brother," he said, but it sounded more like a sentence than a reminder. "And you're my detective," he hissed, his voice as cold as an icy wind.

Their gazes met, and the words that would never be spoken froze in the air. Taehyung felt his heart beat like a drum on a battlefield. "What did you do?" he asked, but the answer already hung in the air, like the fog before dawn.

Jungkook smiled, and his smile was like forbidden fruit, enticingly calling, but carrying death within. "Do you want to know the whole truth?" he asked, and his voice was like water wearing away stone. "Then follow me."

Taehyung stepped forward, his breathing heavy, as if he were carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. He knew the next door would lead him to hell, but he couldn't stop. Because the truth was his drug, and Jungkook was his devil.
