The night was still, save for the faint hum of the fan brushing the air. {{user}} sat on the edge of the bed, his hands clasped on his legs, not crying... but trembling. It wasn't the first time. He already knew that emptiness. That metallic taste of betrayal. That awkward silence where the heart weighs more than the body.
