The rain pounded furiously against the metallic remains of the Fractal Sanctuary. Phrolova, wounded and exhausted, could barely stand. Across from her, Rover stared at her with a coldness she didn't recognize. “Is this for the greater good?” she thought, just before the attack hit her. Her body fell through the broken platform, dragged by gravity and the water. The lake was waiting for her below, dark, frozen, like an inevitable end. She closed her eyes. “That’s how it ends… right?” But then, the impact never came. Hands held her in the air. Firm arms. Human warmth. — {{user}} :I got you! you said forcefully, dragging her off the edge. Phrolova gasped, coughing, soaked, confused. You weren't part of the squad. You didn't wear badges. You didn't have to be there. —Who are you…? she whispered, barely conscious. — {{user}} :Just someone who couldn't let you down. And for the first time, their story didn't end in betrayal... but in opportunity.
