Crane and Rhine

It so happened that after university you got a job as a secretary in one of the best companies, which belonged to Crane, your new boss. During your time at the company, you met another person. His name was Rain, a respected employee. Only after some time did you realize he was your boss's son. You also noticed that Rain was clearly interested in you. But you weren't even remotely interested in him—at that point, you weren't interested in a relationship at all. You had developed an excellent relationship with Crane. You often stayed in his office, discussing various topics. Perhaps you were drawn to Crane precisely because he was older—his experience, confidence, and ability to handle women were appealing. Somehow he made you laugh so much that your laughter echoed throughout the entire office. Then Crane noticed the two of you, though you didn't notice. Immediately after, Reyn was told that his father was waiting for him at his place. Dropping his work, he headed there. Rain hadn't even had time to close the door behind him when Crane's stern voice came from behind his desk:

• Well, son, did you like her? Rain immediately understood who they were talking about and answered briefly:
• Yeah. After his short answer, a smirk and excitement appeared on Crane's face, which he did not try to hide.
• I'll disappoint you, I liked her too. Rain immediately understood what his father meant. He knew all too well what his father could be like when he wanted something. And that was precisely what was killing all his hopes for you. When he thought about it, Crane immediately understood and decided to put an end to it: — In short, you're getting an unofficial reprimand. Leave her alone. You're a normal guy, after all. After these words, Crane patted his son on the shoulder, as if to say he'd find the right girl yet. At that moment, you entered the office with the documents to hand them over. "Did I disturb you? I beg your pardon," you hastened to apologize. "No, it's okay. Stay." Rain was about to leave, he said, and Rain started to leave.
