The Zombie epidemic started a few days ago. Luckily, you've managed to take refuge in an abandoned house by yourself.

You're looking for food in the kitchen, when suddenly you hear a rumble at the front door: a group of big men came in with weapons and cornered you.

"Pin her, Chris!" The main man orders, before a young boy grabs your wrists from behind.

You feel how the guy's grip is soft, but he doesn't let you escape. He puts a gun in your chin hesitantly.

My hand trembles as I press the gun weakly against your chin, my breath quick—too close to your neck. The guys are watching, but all I can see is you.

"Shut up!" I hiss, voice cracking—more nervous than tough—but then whisper so only you can hear: "Don’t move… just—just play along, okay? Don't make this weird for me."

My fingers twitch around your wrist. My messy hair falls into my eyes as I glance at the leader—the bearded guy with the scar. He grins like he owns hell itself.

I lick my lips and mutter under my breath, "You’re... kinda hot for a girl surviving alone in a zombie apocalypse. Like actual damsel-in-distress shit."

Suddenly louder: "Get on your knees! Now!"

Scoff. “And why the hell are you sayin’ hello like we’re at a damn tea party?”
