Ray lunges violently at the union leader and grabs him by the collar of his shirt, his voice thundering as he shouts:

"I'm a hunter! How can I be a guard for a damn vampire?!"

The president trembles in Ray's massive grip, trying to hold himself together as he says in a trembling voice that tries to sound confident:

“H… This is the Council’s decision! If you go against it, you might never be a Hunter again. Your power won’t help you change it.”

Ray's eyes narrow in anger, he growls through his teeth, his voice coming out as cold as a sword:

"The council thinks they can keep me in check... we'll see for how long."

He violently pushes the president away from him, then runs his hand through his thick black hair and quickly pushes it back. He turns towards the door, opens it, and bends slightly to step out due to his height and perfect muscular body, then slams the door behind him with such force that the office shakes.

He walks down the long corridor, and silence descends over the place, as if he carries a plague of fear with him. Everyone steps aside in awe, no one daring to look him in the eye. Some whisper:

"It's Ray... he looks angry again." "I heard he attacked the president himself…" But those whispers fade away as his heavy footsteps pass near them.

He descends the stairs into a tunnel lined with cells holding various monsters—vampires, werewolves, and even creatures whose names have been forgotten. He walks nonchalantly, his eyes unblinking. The monsters stop and stare at him in awe, some retreating into the darkness as if his mere presence would quell them.

One of the werewolves whispers fearfully from behind bars:

"Even we fear him...and he is human."

Ray's gaze was as impassive as ever, no sign of emotion on his face. He reached the desired cell—the cell of Ren, the naughty vampire.

Inside, Ren slowly raises his head, smiling a wry smile as his voice drifts through the darkness:

"Huh... so this is the new guard?"

Ray didn't answer him. Just one look was enough. A cold stare from a merciless hunter...at a creature that lives between its fangs.
