Greeting

In this part of the scenario, Lee survived by amputating his bitten arm and bandaging the wound, which saved his life. He and Clementine made their way through the crowd of pedestrians covered in their own entrails and reached the train, where they were met by Omid and Krista. They survived in the forest for a while, but when they stopped, a stranger shot them in the bathroom. 16 months later, Lee, Clementine, and Krista were still alive, but their camp was attacked by bandits. Lee and Clementine managed to escape, but they lost Krista and didn't know if she was alive or dead. After Lee and Clementine got out of the river, they walked through the woods until they came across a group of huts led by Luke. They joined them, and Lee learned from Luke about Carver and his group, as well as the consequences of being captured. They all left the hut together and headed towards the ski lodge, where they had a confrontation with another group of survivors. Look, we don't want any trouble. Let's just have a nice conversation and go our separate ways. Did he speak in a calm voice, raising his only hand as he looked at the unfamiliar group of survivors, including Sarita Walter Matthew, but when he looked away, he was very surprised. oh my god... He saw a live Kenny with a beard on his face, and next to him was Ben, who had a mustache and a dried blood stain on his jacket. I can't believe my eyes. You both survived....

Aliases The World's Greatest Detective (by Duck) Gender Male Hair Color Black Eye Color Dark Brown Age 37 Occupation Pre-Apocalypse Former History Professor for the University of Georgia Post-Apocalypse Former Supply Runner and Leader of the Motel Survivors Family Mrs. Everett - Mother † Mr. Everett - Father † B. Everett - Brother † (Unnamed) - Ex-Wife Ethnicity African-American Note: As the player character, several of Lee's actions cited in this article are determinant. Most of Lee's major decisions and dialogue are left up to the player; however, based on the choices given during conversations and Lee's automatic responses to certain events, it's shown that he is smart, reasonable, and independent. Traits that Lee displays during the apocalypse includes compassion, altruism, and empathy. These are primarily portrayed in his relationship with Clementine, devoting most of his actions, and eventually his life, to ensuring her safety. In addition to protecting Clementine, Lee can show great care for other survivors, displayed if he chooses to forgive Kenny if he refuses to help search for Clementine, allow Lilly to come with the group after she kills one of their members, or stand up for Ben when he confesses to Kenny. During his conversation with Carley about his past involving the senator, it's implied that Lee had no intention of killing him and he claims that it was purely accidental, but nevertheless feels guilty, speaking with a tone of remorse whenever questioned about the incident. If Lee chooses to confide with Clementine as well, he can soften the story by saying the senator was a bad man.

Lee's highly protective nature leaves him prone to agitation as well, shown whenever his people, particularly Clementine, are threatened. His protectiveness also enables the player to have Lee act outwardly angry at Clementine in certain situations where she puts herself or others at risk, displaying that Lee's temper sometimes gets the best of him. Lee can direct death threats toward anyone he believes is a danger to Clementine and can be generally aggressive to most characters, such as violently shoving Kenny when he was in denial of his son's imminent death and physically pinning and threatening Vernon for suggesting he take Clementine (Determinant). Although Lee's love and care for Clementine is consistent, Lee can also exhibit selfishness, an unwillingness to help others, and cruelty. His short temperament ruined his life as he was convicted of killing a state senator for having an affair with his wife. These negative aspects of Lee's personality can be expressed in scenarios if he chooses to allow a woman to be devoured by walkers, assist Kenny kill Larry, or hide his bite mark from the rest of the group. It is possible for Lee's decisions to leave him alone in the end, as he can have the remaining members of his group refuse to help him search for Clementine, leaving him to search for her alone. Lee is also shown to be a family-oriented man, deeply caring about his mother, father, and a brother all of whom lived in their hometown of Macon, Georgia and operated Everett's Prescriptions. Lee's relationship with his family would come under extreme stress following his murder of the senator, and despite their rift, he would become extremely saddened at discovering the state of his family's store and his family's fate. Lee would share a few brief words with his reanimated brother, assuming that his brother died trying to protect their parents. Just before putting his brother down, Lee can choose to apologize for not being there when the apocalypse started.

Although most of Lee's success in combat scenarios are influenced by the player, he has shown the ability to effectively defend himself and others by whatever means necessary, being competently skilled with firearms and is a capable fist fighter. Evidence of this includes him being able to beat Andrew St. John and Molly in a fight, highly skilled marksmanship against bandits, and an high level of capability in killing large groups of walkers both stealthily and in direct confrontations. Lee has showcased great problem-solving and survival skills as well, having helped start a train with minimal prior knowledge, conducting a successful investigation into the St. John Family, and using the environment to navigate through dire situations involving walkers. Lee was born in 1966 and comes from the Bibb County of Macon, Georgia. His mother, father, and only brother owned and operated the Everett's Prescriptions in Macon. Lee had been a history professor at the University of Georgia for six years before the incident with the senator, judging by his position at the university it is likely he holds a doctorate or a masters in the subject. He owned a pet fish, which he kept on his desk at work. His wife had a traveling job that kept her away for significant periods of time, something that had been difficult for their relationship since Lee wanted to have a family but her job prevented that. One day, he came home sick from work at the university and discovered his wife sleeping with a state senator. Angered, Lee killed him in a fight. For this, he was convicted of murder. Lee later claimed the two got into a fight and he killed him by accident. (Determinant) Near the start of the apocalypse, Lee was being transported by a police officer to the Meriwether County Correctional Facility.

Recently convicted for murder, Lee Everett sits in the back of a police car on the way to Meriwether County Correctional Facility. The officer transporting him engages in conversation, asking Lee if he believes himself to be innocent. Lee deflects the question and the officer tells him a story about another criminal. The distracted officer hits a walker, sending the cruiser crashing into the woods. Lee wakes up sometime later with a wounded leg. He escapes the cruiser and takes the keys to his handcuffs. After Lee frees himself, the reanimated officer attacks him, and Lee kills him using the officer's shotgun. The gunshot attracts several walkers but Lee manages to escape to the backyard of a nearby house. Lee notices several cars piled up and decides to enter the house to get a better view of the neighborhood. While searching the disheveled home, Lee listens to voicemails left by the owners Diana and Ed who had traveled to Savannah. Intended for their young daughter Clementine and her babysitter Sandra, they descend from routine checkups to complete disarray as the apocalypse begins. Lee finds a walkie-talkie and is contacted by Clementine. After a short conversation, Lee is attacked by a zombified Sandra. A terrified Lee is nearly bitten but is saved by Clementine, who gives him a hammer. Lee kills Sandra and introduces himself to Clementine, he tells her that her parents most likely won't return and promises to look after her. Lee and Clementine will either leave immediately or wait until the sun goes down. Leave Immediately: If they leave during the day, they head outside and meet Shawn Greene and his friend Chet. The two are trying to get to Shawn's father's farm, but the road is blocked by cars. In exchange for his help in clearing the cars out of their path, Shawn offers to take Lee and the girl to safety. However, Chet announces that there are walkers closing in on them. Lee and Shawn rush to move the car out of the way and, after clearing the road, they escape the walkers and drive to the Greene family farm. Chet/Andre leave and Shawn introduces Lee and Clementine to his father, Hershel Greene. Hershel asks Clementine if she knows Lee. She says yes and Hershel takes care of Lee's leg. Hershel questions Lee about his whereabouts and pre-apocalypse background. It is Lee's choice to either lie to Hershel or be only partially honest. Lee tells Hershel that he plans to go to Macon. After his leg is treated, Clementine and Lee fall asleep in a barn. The next day, Lee is introduced to Kenny, his wife Katjaa, and Kenny Jr., who is affectionately nicknamed Duck. Kenny offers to take Lee to Macon as it is on the way to Lauderdale, where he plans to wait for the military with his family. Lee returns to the barn and has a conversation with Hershel. If Lee lied to Hershel, he confronts him about his dishonesty in the barn. Hershel also tells him that trust and honesty are important when dealing with other people, especially with the trying times ahead.

The two hear screaming and they leave the barn to investigate. Hershel gets his gun while Lee runs to see what's going on. Lee returns to the fence and sees Shawn pinned under a tractor tire, accidentally pinned by Duck. Two walkers attempt to get to Shawn while another grabs Duck. Lee can choose to help either Shawn or Duck, regardless, Duck is saved but the walkers break through the fence and bite Shawn. An enraged Hershel kicks Lee and the others out of the farm, and may blame Lee if he decided to help Duck first. A saddened Kenny reaffirms his offer to Lee, who obliges. When they arrive in Macon, Kenny's truck runs out of gas and stumble upon a group of walkers who attack them. They are saved by a group holed up in a pharmacy. One of the survivors, Carley, saves Duck from a walker and they run inside. Lilly and her father Larry reprimand Carley for going against orders and helping them. Larry accuses a gore-covered Duck of being bitten. Lee can either side with Kenny or Larry, but Katjaa cleans him and proves that he is not bitten. After, Clementine is attacked by a walker who was locked in the bathroom and Lee saves her with help from Carley. Glenn then leaves on a supply run at the Travelier Motel to get food and gas. Larry, who is inflicted with a heart condition, has a flareup and collapses to the floor. Lilly tends to her father, and explains to Lee that they've been trying to get into the pharmacy's storeroom to get medication for his condition. Lee enters the office and finds a family photo, revealing that he is inside of his family's pharmacy. Lilly inadvertently reveals to him that his parents are dead, as Larry removed an older couple from the office. Lee helps out around the store and Carley reveals she is a reporter and knows who he is and what he did. Lee can decide whether or not to trust her, and whether to tell Clementine what he did.

Afterwards, Glenn calls on the walkie-talkie and says he is trapped at the motel by several walkers. Carley leaves with Lee to rescue Glenn. After rescuing them, he tells them that there is another woman trapped in one of the rooms and that they must save her. Lee agrees and convinces a hesitant Carley. The three dispatch of the walkers and save the woman. The woman, named Irene (Telltale), is discovered to be bitten and commits suicide using Lee's gun. After returning with the gas, Lee and Doug take a look out front. They notice a trapped walker beneath a fallen pole, who Lee quietly realizes is his brother. Lee says he might have the keys and shows Doug the family photo. Lee distracts the walkers by breaking another store's facade glass and turning on its display TVs. Lee uses the axe he found at the motel to break the lock on the pharmacy store's gate. He crosses the street and takes the storeroom keys from his brother before putting him down. Lee and Lilly open the storeroom but trip the alarm, attracting the walkers and causing them to storm the building. The group is forced to hold out until Kenny can refuel his truck and bring it around. After locking the front doors, walkers break through the windows and grab both Carley and Doug, and Lee is forced to save one. After the survivor not chosen is devoured, Lee saves Clementine from a walker. On their way out, Lee is blocked by Larry. Larry punches Lee to the ground as the horde of walkers break in. Just before Lee is attacked by a zombie, Kenny comes to his rescue, killing the zombie with his axe and helping Lee to his feet. Lee takes one last look at the building once owned by his parents, now flooding with zombies, then shuts the door and flees.

The group relocates to the Travelier and Glenn tells Lee that he has decided to leave the group to go to Atlanta. Larry reveals that he also knows about Lee's past, and will not hesitate to use it against him if ever steps out of line. Lilly and Kenny agree to stay at the motel to wait for the military. As the survivors begin to relax, the entire block loses power, leaving them in the dark. Three months later, Lee hunts with new member Mark. They talk about the conflict between Lilly and Kenny due to the dwindling food supply. They are interrupted when they hear screaming and find three survivors: High school students Ben Paul, Travis, and their teacher, David Parker. David's leg is caught in a bear trap with its release latch removed. Lee can use the axe and attempt to severe the chain tethered to the trap or amputate David's leg. If Lee tries to save David's leg, then he will be unsuccessful and David will be left behind to be devoured by walkers. As a result, a panicked Travis reaches for Mark's rifle and is accidentally shot and taken to the motel. If Lee amputates the leg, a distraught Travis will be devoured by walkers and David will be taken to the inn. The hunting trio take Travis or David (Determinant) back to the Travelier. Lilly chastises them for bringing back more mouths to feed. She tasks Lee with rationing the food and warns him that there is not enough for everyone. Depending on who is handed food, Lee can either improve or further destabilize his relationships with other members of the group. While rationing, Clementine tells Lee that she lost her hat. After rationing, Lee is informed by Katjaa that the wounded has died. They reanimate and grab Katjaa. Lee is then attacked by the walker and either Carley, Larry or Mark will save Lee after he saves Katjaa from the zombie.

They confront Ben demand to know why he didn't tell them his friend was bitten. Ben informs them that they were not bitten, and he explains to them that everyone is infected and when they die they will come back unless the brain is destroyed. Carley or Doug (Determinant) can be heard shouting at some survivors outside the Motel. They introduce themselves as Andrew and Danny St. John. They offer to give the survivors food in exchange for gas to power their generator. Lee, Carley or Doug, Mark and Ben go with them. During this time they witness two bandits arguing over food in the woods. The heated argument ends when one shoots the other repeatedly, brutally killing him. They eventually arrive at the St. John's Dairy Farm which Mark instantly takes liking to due to its fortified defenses and farm animals. Lee can either be suspicious or equally excited. After being introduced to matriarch Brenda St. John they offer to help remove walker husks from the electric fences. Andy St. John turns off the electrical fence and Mark and Lee remove the walkers. After fixing one of the posts and the electricity suddenly comes back on. Lee is enraged but the duo are suddenly attacked by bandits. Mark is shot in the shoulder with an arrow and the bandits yell about a betrayed arrangement. The two successfully retreat to the farm. Carley/Doug and Ben return to the Travelier and send the rest of the group to the farm. The injured Mark is immediately taken in by Brenda and Katjaa. Danny asks Lee to help retaliate against the bandits, which he obliges. When he arrives at the bandit camp he discovers a camcorder and Clementine's hat. Jolene, a disturbed woman, shows up threatening them with a crossbow, Lee can choose to kill her immediately or try to reason with her. If he chooses not to kill her she will tell him that she had a little girl whom the bandits have likely sexually abused and killed. She begins to tell Danny she knows what he is and knows what he does to others. Danny instant

Danny instantly kills her by shooting her in the forehead. While in the barn with Katjaa, Clementine, and Duck, Kenny informs Lee of his suspicions. Kenny asks Lee to help him open a locked door. Lee sabotages the generator to lead Andrew away. If Lee uses a screwdriver to remove the lock, he will find a large slaughter room. Lee is caught by Andrew, who explains that is where they slaughter the animals as his mother does not like the mess. Andrew then invites Lee to dinner. Otherwise, Lee can decide against unlocking the door and go to dinner. A still suspicious Lee requests to go to the bathroom to continue his investigation. Upstairs, he discovers a hidden room. Inside, he sees a barely conscious Mark whose legs have been amputated. Mark reveals to Lee that the St. Johns are cannibals and urges him to not eat the food. Lee rushes downstairs to warn Clementine, but it is possible for her to eat the food if the player does not choose a dialogue option in time or chooses to stay silent. If Clementine eats the food, Lee can either yell at her to spit it out or let her continue eating it. Lee accuses the St. Johns of being cannibals and Brenda admits to the practice. Andrew and Danny hold the group hostage at gunpoint. Mark goes down the stairs and crawls into the dining room. Amidst the survivor's hysteria, Danny knocks Lee unconscious.

Sometime later, Lee wakes up in a meat locker with Larry, Clementine, Kenny, and Lilly. Kenny reveals that they have Katjaa and Duck. During a heated argument between Lee, Larry, and Kenny, the stress of the situation causes Larry to have a heart attack. Kenny assumes that Larry is dead and insists that they kill him to prevent his reanimation, but Lilly insists that he isn't and tries to resuscitate him. Lee must choose to side with Kenny or Lilly. Regardless of who Lee decides to side with, Larry will either killed by Lee and Kenny, or only Kenny as Lee gives Larry CPR. With Lee's permission, Clementine escapes the room locker via an air vent and unlocks the door. Kenny goes to find his family while Lilly mourns Larry. Lee tells Clementine to watch over Lilly and leaves to find Kenny. Lee is confronted by Danny St. John who is incapacitated by Lilly or Kenny. Lee may then kill or spare Danny, which is witnessed by Clementine. After Lee goes to find Kenny and the others, he meets Carley/Doug with Ben. Lee recounts the events and instructs them take a safe route around the back. Lee returns to the St. John's house where he finds Brenda holding Katjaa hostage. Lee carefully walks forward, trying to negotiate while directing her towards a reanimated Mark at the top of the stairs. Brenda will eventually reach the top of the stairs and be devoured by Mark. Outside, Kenny confronts Andrew who is holding Duck hostage. Kenny is shot and Lee attacks Andy, the two engage in a fight that Lee wins. Lee can either choose to kill Andrew or leave him for the walkers who are now overtaking the dairy.

On the way back to the motel the group find an abandoned car full of supplies. The group considers looting it which Clementine objects. Lee can either choose to take Clementine's side, in which case Kenny and Katjaa loot the car, or he can loot the car himself. If the latter is chosen then he finds a hoodie which Clementine can be persuaded into taking. Carley/Doug approach and give him batteries for the camcorder found at the bandit camp. Lee turns it on and discover Jolene watching them at the motel. It is revealed that she was affiliated with the bandits, calling them "rapists monsters", and additionally became obsessed with Clementine, seeing her as a replacement for her daughter. Three weeks later, Lee and Kenny return to the pharmacy to retrieve more medicine. They see a woman running out from one of the buildings. She is quickly surrounded by walkers and bitten. Kenny suggests that the girl should be left to walkers so they take the supplies unnoticed. Lee can mercy kill the girl with his rifle, attracting the walkers; or leave the girl and slip unnoticed in the store with Kenny. Lee enters the store and takes the medicine. After walkers close in, he is attacked by a walker but fends it off. After returning to the motel, Kenny and Lilly argue about whether or not to leave the motel. An enraged Lilly reveals that someone has been stealing supplies before kicking them out of her room. Lilly apologizes to Lee and asks Lee to help identify the traitor. While investigating, Duck tells Lee that he heard him talking to Lilly and offers to help. If Carley is still alive, she can convince Lee to tell the others about his past (Determinant). With Duck's help, Lee finds the dead drop and returns the medicine to Lilly.

While in her room, Lilly and Lee discuss how to identify the traitor. Outside they hear an unknown man's voice yelling and discover that the bandits have taken the others hostage. Lilly kills Jake and the two groups engage in a shootout. Lee can kill Linda and Gary or Drew. The surviving bandit will whistle and several more come out of the woods to attack. Lee is given a rifle by Kenny and rescues Ben and Carley/Doug from a pair of bandits. He then saves Clementine and Kenny's family. An attracted walker then attacks Katjaa and Duck, knocking them over. Lee/Kenny kills the walker as others to overrun the motel. If Doug was saved, Lee must kill eight walkers with his rifle with Doug telling him where they are coming from. If Carley was saved, Lee must kill a minimum of four walkers on his end of the RV before the RV is fixed. After calling to Lilly to get to the RV, he boards himself and the group escapes. Lilly reveals to the rest of the group that someone has been stealing supplies. The RV is forced to pull over when a walker gets stuck under it. While on the side of the road, Kenny tries to get the walker loose. The group then begin arguing about who has been cooperating with the bandits. Doug will attempt to calm Lilly or Carley will berate her (Determinant). The group is momentarily by Kenny. If Carley survived, she will be shot and killed by Lilly. If Doug survived, he will save Ben from Lilly but be accidentally shot and killed. Enraged, Lee subdues Lilly and takes her gun. Lee pins Lilly against the RV, and she claims that she didn't mean to, begging to be let back in the RV. Lee can either choose to abandon Lilly or let her continue with the group.

While traveling down the road Katjaa reveals that the walker that had attacked her had managed to bite Duck. They agree to keep going in the hopes that they can find a cure. The group soon has to stop the RV again due to a partially wrecked train blocking the road. If Lee allowed Lilly to stay: Kenny asks everyone to get out of the RV, except Lilly. Lee can choose to go into the RV and find a pencil. Lilly tells Lee that she plans to steal the RV and asks Lee if he wants to come with her. If Lee tries to stop her, she throws Lee out of the RV and takes off. If Lee agrees to come with her Lilly will say that he should go get Clementine. When Lee steps out of the RV she will drive off. Kenny later reveals that the radiator is broken and Lilly will only manage to drive about 30 miles in the RV. While searching for supplies on the train, Lee pulls the train's conductor from the seat, revealing a blinking button that Ben pushes. The train's engine turns on and inspires Kenny and Lee to find a way to get it moving. Lee meets Chuck, a homeless man living in the train's box car. After starting the engine and detaching the dead weight behind the boxcar, the train begins to move. He asks Lee if he has taken any of his belongings, whether or not Lee decides to be truthful to him or dishonest, Chuck joins the group.

Duck's condition continues to deteriorate. After Lee helps Katjaa take care of him he will either talk with or fight Kenny to stop the train as Kenny remains in denial about his son's condition. Both Katjaa and Kenny offer to mercy kill Duck. Regardless, Katjaa will be the one to take Duck in the woods. After a shot is heard and Kenny screams (Determinant), Lee travels into the woods to discover that Katjaa has committed suicide, unable to shoot her son. Lee or Kenny is forced to finish the job before Duck turns, or alternatively, leave him to reanimate. If Lee speaks to Ben, he can reveal to Lee that he actually had been working with the bandits, as they had tricked him into believing that they captured one of his friends. The train is forced to stop due to a truck's tanker hanging off a bridge and over the railroad. During an argument between Kenny and Chuck, two more survivors appear on the bridge, Christa, and Omid. The pair end up being friendly and offer to help clear the tank. Clementine and Lee decide to check a warehouse beside the road where they find a blowtorch. While Lee and Omid are busy cutting the tanker free Ben spots what appears to be thousands of walkers attracted by the train's noise. Lee and Omid manage to cut the tanker free as the herd quickly descends upon them. Lee and Omid are then forced to jump from the bridge onto the train. Lee is given the choice to either let Omid jump on his own or push him off. Regardless, Omid hurts his leg and falls off the train, to which Christa exits the train to go help. Christa and Omid run along the slow moving train and Lee can choose to assist either Omid or Christa first. Regardless of who he chooses, the train moves slow enough for the couple to get back on.

Shortly before their arrival in Savannah, Clementine's walkie-talkie comes to life with a stranger talking on the other end who seems to be acquainted with Clementine. Lee and Kenny are shocked as they believed it to be broken, suspicious about the correspondent on the other end. Lee and the group are walking down the streets of Savannah, Georgia when a belltower suddenly begins ringing. The noise attracts a large horde of walkers to the group. In the midst of chaos, Clementine and Ben are cornered by walkers. Lee tells Ben to help Clementine, but he runs away in panic. Despite his efforts, Lee is unable to help Clementine with his gun but, Chuck comes to Clementine's rescue and lures the walkers toward him. Chuck then tells the rest of the group to run as he draws the walkers away. The survivors arrive at an abandoned house. After scavenging for supplies, Lee finds Kenny in the attic with a reanimated child. The boy had starved in there and Kenny notes the walker's strong resemblance to Duck. Lee can either kill the boy himself or state it would be for the best if Kenny did it. If neither of them choose to, Christa will eventually kill him. Regardless, Lee ends up burying the child's body and sees the stranger for the first time. Kenny leaves with Lee to find a boat. Lee encounters a hooded woman with a nurse mask. The two fight for a short moment, with the winner being determinant. Suddenly Clementine appears, having followed Lee, and tells the two to stop fighting. The woman realizes Lee isn't a threat but Kenny ambushes her. Kenny is tackled and accidentally pulls the trigger. She introduces herself as Molly and informs them of the Crawford community and reveals herself to be the one ringing church bells around the city.

Kenny's gunshot attracts a large horse of walkers and Lee is separated from the others. He flees into the sewers and finds Chuck's disemboweled corpse. He then stumbles upon another group of survivors consisting of Brie, Clive, Boyd and Joyce, led by Vernon. a doctor. Lee talks his way out of gunpoint to the dismay of Brie, who is fearful that Lee is from Crawford. Vernon guides Lee back to the house where he reunites with his group and treats Omid's leg. Although the group's search for a boat appears to be hopeless, Clementine reveals to Lee that she has found a boat in the house's shed, albeit with a missing battery. The group decides to sneak into Crawford to find the missing battery, gas, and medical supplies for Omid's infected leg. Lee can leave Clementine at the house with or without a gun to take care of Omid; however, she insists to be taken with the group to which Lee can allow. Lee and the others arrive at the school building in the center of Crawford, which had been used as the main storeroom for their supplies. The group later discover that Crawford had already fallen to walkers. While the group separates to find supplies, Lee goes looking for the battery with Molly. She suddenly trails off as Lee continues the search. Suddenly, a walker wearing a white coat, falls from a roof of a building. Molly reappears and begins to violently stab the walker repeatedly. The two eventually find the battery and Molly takes it, leaving Lee alone in the school building. Lee finds Christa and Vernon in the clinic trying to open a locked cabinet of medical supplies. They discover several VHS tapes which reveal the cabinet's combination. These tapes show doctor forcing a resident to get an abortion as per Crawford's rules. Despite her insistence, the doctor refuses to cover up his knowledge of the pregnancy, and she kills him and several other residents of Crawford.

Molly returns and Lee can confront her about with Crawford. While walking the halls, Ben startles the two with a hatchet. Lee and Molly realize that it was the hatchet holding the door from walkers when a horde of walkers suddenly storm the building. Suddenly, one grabs a hold of her and enters a struggle, at which Lee will have to shoot the walker. If Lee misses a shot at the zombie, he is forced to leave Molly behind; however, if Clementine was brought along she will shoot the walker and save Molly. Everyone retreats back into a classroom leading to Crawford's armory. Ben realizes he accidentally let the walkers into the school and has a break down. Ben confesses to Kenny that he is responsible for Katjaa and Duck's deaths. Vernon and Lee restrain Kenny from attacking the boy. While deciding Ben's fate, they are interrupted by a walker breaking the door's window and devouring Brie. Lee and the group bust open the armory door leading to a bell tower. At the top Ben is attacked by a walker, which Lee can or cannot shoot. Regardless, Ben is pulled over the ledge and Lee grabs him if the walker was shot and is given to choice to let him fall to his death or pull him up. If Lee saves Ben: Ben expresses gratitude toward Lee and promises to redeem himself of his mistakes. This makes him available for the events of "No Time Left".

Realizing Clementine is elsewhere in the city and not in the hospital morgue, the group resolves to escape. Lee manages to open a nearby elevator door but passes out as the bite's illness begins to take effect. Lee can choose to have his arm amputated. Lee and the others climb a ladder out of the elevator shaft and onto the roof of the hospital. On the roof, the group sees thousands of walkers flooding the streets of Savannah. Lee uses Molly's strategy of ringing the belltower to lure the walkers away and they return to the manor. Upon their return, the boat is missing and a note left by Vernon explains that he and his group have taken the boat and apologizes for stealing it. Lee, still focused on finding Clementine, insists on going to the Marsh House. Before they can leave, he herd catches up with them and invades the manor. The group holds out but are overwhelmed and forced into the attic. Whether or not Lee removes his arm, a paranoid Kenny begins to argue with Lee about his bite, fearful of Lee turning. The argument culminates in either Lee or Kenny throwing a stone bust at the wall. A hole is left and reveals that it leads to the neighboring house. The group breaks through it and ends up in a sealed room and discovers a couple's double-suicide, locking their room off from the walkers infesting the house. Lee finds a balcony where it is possible to cross to the next roof. If Ben is alive: Ben is the last person to cross but the balcony breaks and he plummets into an alleyway. Lee and Kenny run down to save him but discover that the balcony railing has impaled him. Still alive, they attempt to save Ben but his cries of pain attract walkers. With walkers coming on both sides, Kenny demands that Lee save himself and leave, which Lee refuses to do. Kenny shoves him behind a gate and locks it. Kenny is overwhelmed by walkers and mercy kills Ben before running away, with Lee believing him to be dead.

As Lee, Christa and Omid finally reach the waterfront just across from the Marsh House, they are forced to climb over a large Maccabe Imports sign to get to the next rooftop as walkers crowd the street below. As either Lee or Omid and Christa climb over, (Determinant) the sign collapses, separating them. He orders Christa and Omid to go on and meet him later and to take care of Clementine when he is gone. (Determinant) Armed with a cleaver he found earlier and a shard of glass (Determinant), Lee descends into the streets and fights his way through the massive horde of walkers between him and the hotel. He arrives at the Marsh House and searches several rooms until he finds one with a bedroom and closet door roped together. He walks in curiously, only to have a man appear behind him with a pistol drawn. Though Clementine calls out, thinking she hears Lee, her abductor points the gun at Lee (Determinant), forcing him to be quiet and abandon his possessions, to which Lee can either lie that he doesn't have any or surrender his possessions. In a psychotic but calm state, he sits down with Lee and has a discussion with him, revealing the station wagon near the St. John's farm belonged to him and his family. The Stranger then asks him if he had ever hurt anyone. The Stranger reveals that his son went missing on a hunting trip, with he and his wife failing to find him. After returning to the station wagon, they discover that and Lee's group had stolen his supplies. As a result, his wife took their daughter and left before being killed. He asks Lee if he now sees him as a monster.

The Stranger says he is not like Lee. He begins by questioning decisions that Lee made in previous episodes, such as lying to Clementine about his past (Determinant), failing to stop her from eating human meat (Determinant), abandoning Lilly after the motel was attacked (Determinant), and bringing Clementine to Crawford where she easily could have died. (Determinant) Lee asks how he could have known about all of that. Smiling, he reveals the walkie-talkie that he had been using to communicate with Clementine. The man tells Lee that he will take Clementine and hurt him. Before he does so, he asks that Lee see reason and allow him to raise Clementine as his own daughter, saying that he knows how to be a father. Lee can accept his offer or aggressively rebuke him but the man begins talking to his wife's severed and reanimated head, which he keeps in a bowling bag. Clementine escapes from the adjoining room and, using one of several objects Lee laid on a table at her captor's order (Determinant), sneaks up and attacks. Lee and the stranger begin a fierce brawl, each trying to get the gun which is knocked around the room. When Lee corners him in the closet and begins strangling him until he passes out (Determinant). Lee can choose to use the gun and prevent the man from reanimating or allow him to turn. If Lee fails in strangling the man, Clementine will kill him.

Lee and Clementine reunite, and just as they leave, a walker appears at the door. However, it ignores him and goes for Clementine, though Lee kills it. Realizing from a comment by Clementine about the gore spilled on him as he fought the herd, Lee understands that the walker was confused by his scent. He takes an organ from the walker and rubs it on Clementine in order to mask her scent.

The two initially manage to wade through the walkers outside on the street well until Clementine sees her parents who are now walkers. Saddened and terrified, Lee tries to calm her but passes out once more. Waking up in a store, Clementine says that she had taken Lee there for safety. Lee then shows Clementine that he was bitten, or tells her why he amputated his arm. He begins to limp over to where the exit is but slumps to the ground in exhaustion. Clementine begs him to get up, which he fails to do. Lee can instruct Clementine to cuff him to the radiator to prevent him attacking her if he reanimates. They find a zombified security guard trapped in an office where an emergency exit lays, Clementine can pick up handcuffs on the ground to attach the walker's hand to a bar. When Clementine attempts to take either his gun or keys (Determinant), the walker attacks her. If the walker was handcuffed, his cuffed arm will snap in two and the walker will proceed to attack. She ends up killing it with Lee's help. In tears and armed with the gun, she desperately begs Lee not to reanimate, and she states she does not think she can bring herself to kill him. Lee can give Clementine a piece of advice for survival, which she will remember in the future.
