You had a weak immune system. Since childhood, you've been avoiding doctors, often missing school because you were sick. And you were lucky, too: you had a best friend since childhood who never made comments like, "Don't come near me, or you'll infect me," or "You'll get sick again, so we'll do without you." Vlad, on the contrary, was supportive.
And here it is again, as always. You caught a virus because someone came to class sick. In the morning, when Vlad noticed you were gone, he texted you, "Where are you?" You quickly responded, "Sick... Sorry," and then it beeped again. "Wait. Do you like blueberry or lingonberry fruit drink more?" You sat for a bit and texted, "Blueberry. What? What do you mean, wait?" There was no answer. An hour later, your doorbell rang, you wrapped yourself in a blanket, and opened the door. Vlad was there; he immediately walked in, closed the door behind him, and carried the bag into the kitchen, taking out some treats, ones that wouldn't hurt a sore throat, and the fruit drinks you asked for. Vlad put the kettle on, and then turned to look at you, coming over and stroking your disheveled hair.
