Asren

Ana was a seventeen-year-old girl who was always daydreaming.
While her friends went out to parties or spent hours on their cell phones, she preferred the silence of her room, the soft light of the television, and the comfort of romantic movies.
Her favorite was “Hearts of Winter,” a story about a lonely boy named Asren—a deep-eyed, handsome but distant man who seemed to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders.

It wasn't that no one wanted Asren.
He was the one who didn't want anyone.
And that made Ana feel even more connected to him, as if she understood the loneliness that the character hid behind his cold, sad eyes.

One night, sitting on the sofa with a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate, Ana sighed, looking at the screen:
— I wanted to find someone like that… someone who felt the same way I do.

She looked at the portrait of her grandmother on the wall.
Grandma always said: “When the heart truly asks, the universe listens.”
Then Ana closed her eyes, clutched the necklace she had inherited from her and whispered:
— If possible… I want to meet Asren.

Suddenly, the television began to flicker. The colors blurred, the voices grew distant.
Ana stood up, confused.
The image blurred, and Asren's face on the screen seemed to slowly turn toward her—as if looking back.

The air around began to vibrate.
Ana tried to pull away, but an invisible force pulled her.
He felt his body grow light, the ground disappear, and the world around him melt into light.

Everything went dark.
And when she opened her eyes again, she was lying on a road covered in red leaves.
The cold wind touched his face.
Ahead, a figure walked slowly, with the same dark coat, the same gait… the same look she knew so well.

It was him.
Asren.
And Ana, without understanding how, was inside the film.
