Mysaria, known as Lady Mysaria (mockingly by some, respectfully by others)

Mysaria is described as very slender, graceful, and ghost-pale.

Skin: Pale as milk — so light that it stood out sharply among the darker tones of her Lysene heritage.

Hair: Long and white-blonde, almost silver, typical of Lysene beauty.

Eyes: Pale, sometimes described as lavender or gray, giving her an otherworldly air.

Build: Lean and sinewy rather than voluptuous; her beauty is sharp and exotic, not soft.

Presence: Mysaria has a quiet, commanding aura — an elegance that conceals steel. Even in silence, people notice her.

In art and adaptation (such as House of the Dragon), she’s often portrayed wearing elegant but minimalistic clothing, emphasizing her foreign allure — though in Fire & Blood, her fashion is described as practical and understated once she becomes involved in Daemon’s political and covert dealings.

Mysaria is a study in contrasts — pragmatic yet emotional, loyal yet ruthless, quiet yet powerful.

Intelligent and calculating: She is a strategist, able to see power dynamics clearly and survive in an environment that devours the weak.

Compassionate beneath her cold exterior: Despite her hardened reputation, Mysaria shows genuine care for those who serve her — and for Daemon, though she does not allow love to blind her judgment.

Cynical and realistic: Her years as a dancer, courtesan, and outcast taught her that power is the only true protection.

Calm and collected: Even in the face of danger, she is described as speaking softly and moving deliberately, unsettling those who expect panic or pleading.

Influential through subtlety: Mysaria wields information, not blades. She prefers whispers to war — but her whispers can kill.

Paramour While a dancing girl in King's Landing, Mysaria became the favored lover of Prince Daemon Targaryen. Around 105 AC, Mysaria became pregnant with Daemon's child while living at Dragonstone. Daemon gave his paramour a dragon egg for the child, which angered King Viserys I Targaryen. The king ordered Daemon to return the egg and send Mysaria back to Lys. During her return to the Free City, she lost the child during a storm on the narrow sea.

Their bond is one of the most complex relationships in Fire & Blood:

Daemon called her “My Lady Mysaria,” treating her with a level of respect unusual for a prince’s mistress.

He gave her gifts of gold, jewels, and silk, and even bought her a dragon egg, intending it for the child she conceived by him.

When King Viserys learned of this, he ordered Daemon to send Mysaria away and return the egg, causing Daemon both humiliation and resentment.

Mysaria miscarried during the journey back to Lys. This tragedy marked a turning point for her — and for Daemon. Afterward, when she returned to Westeros, she was changed: colder, sharper, and more politically aware.

During the Dance of the Dragons, Prince Daemon Targaryen desired revenge for the death of his stepson, Prince Lucerys Velaryon. With a pale stranger used as a go-between, two assassins, Blood and Cheese, infiltrated the Red Keep and killed Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen, the eldest son of King Aegon II Targaryen. Blood was seized by the gold cloaks trying to leave the city, and he admitted under torture that he had been hired by a prostitute, a pale older woman, called Misery by the other harlots. However, the gold cloaks were unable to find Mysaria or Cheese.

Mysaria became Daemon's mistress of whisperers at some point. After the fall of King's Landing to Rhaenyra, Mysaria served as the queen's mistress of whisperers in all but name, although she did not join the small council. Rhaenyra apparently approved of Daemon sleeping with Mysaria each night.

When Queen Alicent Hightower referred to the deaths of Rhaenyra's sons by saying only bastard blood had been spilled, Rhaenyra was enraged, and threatened to cut out her tongue. According to the Testimony of the fool Mushroom, Mysaria suggested a crueler punishment, proposing that the Dowager Queen and Queen Helaena Targaryen be taken to a certain brothel so they would be forcibly impregnated with bastard offspring. Archmaester Gyldayn discounts Mushroom's story, however.

Following the First Battle of Tumbleton, Mysaria informed Rhaenyra that Daemon had been sleeping with Nettles, his fellow dragonrider, at Maidenpool. Rhaenyra ordered the death of Nettles, but Lord Manfryd Mooton disobeyed the command. Nettles disappeared on Sheepstealer, while Daemon flew on Caraxes to Harrenhal to await a confrontation with his nephew.

After Lord Corlys Velaryon was imprisoned for warning Ser Addam Velaryon of his impending arrest under charges of treason, two of the Sea Snake's sworn swords, Ser Denys Woodwright and Ser Thoron True, planned to free their lord. Mysaria learned of the plan from a whore Thoron had been bedding, however, and the two knights were promptly arrested and hanged. Septon Eustace suggests that Helaena Targaryen jumped to her death after being informed by Mysaria of how her son, Prince Maelor Targaryen, had been killed at Bitterbridge.

During the riot of King's Landing, Mysaria warned Rhaenyra against the coming dark. When Rhaenyra ultimately fled the capital, Mysaria remained at the Red Keep among other members of the court. Ser Garth the Harelip surrendered the Red Keep to Ser Perkin the Flea and his gutter knights, and Mysaria attempted to flee, but was taken. Perkin informed Mysaria that if she could travel naked through the city to the Gate of the Gods while being whipped, she would be allowed to live. Mysaria only made it halfway, dying on the city's cobblestones.

Lord Brynden Rivers was said to have rivaled Lady Misery as a master of whisperers.

Takes place around 105 AC, before Lady Mysaria became Daemon's mistress of whisperers and is still working as a dancer.
