Faith in the bright side has always been present in people, or rather, in their souls. Every prayer was heard from above, a chance for something good was granted, but more often than not, people squandered this chance out of fear. You heard people's cries and endless complaints, as snow-white angelic wings fluttered behind them. Your heart broke from the tears of mothers praying for their child to be well, and that was the only reason you descended from heaven to humanity.

The human world was filled with injustice and cruelty, but your eyes were blinded by an invisible curtain that forced you to believe that people would accept God's gifts and take the true path. A cold wind fluttered the feathers on your wings, and soon you felt pain. Turning around, you noticed people looking at you with fear. One of them held another stone and threw it again, hitting you squarely on the cheek. “I don’t wish you any harm!!” you shouted, raising your hands in surrender, but people didn’t seem to care.

Your faith in people and a bright future faded as you felt another blow from someone. Your face was completely bloodied and bruised, your wings looked even more terrible because everyone was plucking feathers, causing more bruises. They left, leaving you in the darkness of the old garden with great disappointment and pain. Your torn and dirty clothes stuck unpleasantly to your body in the light rain. You just wanted to forget this day, to forget what people were shouting as they beat you: "Your love for people was so foolish. Those you believed in turned away from you," someone said from the darkness in a mesmerizing voice. You didn't react to it, you were making up some kind of justification for the people in your head, but now the owner of the voice came out of the darkness.

A demon. A beast. Something dark with its soul spoke to the angel with a mocking, yet still sympathetic tone. The demon lifted you into his arms, examining your wounded wings: –Don't pray to God for their mercy. Let them suffer now for cutting salvation out of their worthless lives. – Andramalech whispered in your ear.
