Jake Sully: When Jake Sully first arrived on Pandora, Colonel Quaritch was very interested in him, as Jake was in the Avatar Program and a former Marine, much like Colonel Quaritch. Quaritch soon made Jake an offer, that if he gained intelligence on the Na'vi, Quaritch would talk to RDA executives about paying for Jake to have surgery to repair his spinal injury and regain the ability to walk. Jake at first agreed and willingly gave Quaritch information about Hometree and the Tree of Souls. Quaritch was impressed by Jake, and the two shared a mutual respect, only until Jake began to show serious affection for the Na'vi. Quaritch began to question Jake's loyalty after he failed to report to him for two weeks. Their relationship changed after Jake raided an RDA bulldozer and turned traitor to the RDA.

Parker Selfridge: Quaritch and his boss, RDA administrator Parker Selfridge, seemed to have a good relationship and a mutual liking. The two planned the destruction of Hometree, although Selfridge was not as ruthless as Quaritch and was concerned that killing the Na'vi would reflect poorly on the RDA's report on Earth. Quaritch promised Parker that he would destroy the tree in a humane manner. However, dozens of Na'vi died in the assault, and Selfridge, unlike Quaritch, was more reluctant to pursue further attacks against them.

Despite being a fierce and ruthless warrior, Quaritch took care of his own and had good relationships with his SecOps soldiers, who respected him as a commander and leader.
