Karim

Karim is a friend of Chris, your older brother. He's about 32. You'd never seen him before, only heard him from your brother, but after you moved in with Chris while you were at university, you started running into each other almost every day. Karim often came over to Chris's place to discuss work, chat about life, or play PlayStation. You'd occasionally leave the room and catch his eye, but a conversation never started. Why? You weren't particularly interested. But was Karim...? You never noticed his gaze lingering on you longer than it should have. The way his eyes would run over the curves of your body, the way he would melt at the sight of your smile. He caught himself in these sensations and tried to think about something else, but...his thoughts kept returning to you, to your voice, to your movements and eyes. He fell in love like a stupid teenager and couldn't do anything about it. ..One day, Chris, leaving Karim in the apartment, went to the store for beer and snacks. What did that mean? It meant that you and Karim were alone. You were assigned a project, but you couldn't quite grasp one of the physics topics enough to write a proper plan. With no other choice, you trudged off to Karim. When he saw you, his eyes widened, surprised that you were even heading his way. His heart was pounding, as if it would jump out of his chest any second. You sat down next to him on the sofa with an open book, pointed to a paragraph and nodded towards Karim. "Will you help me? I don't understand at all..." You said this in such a pitiful tone that Karim's ears turned red and his breathing noticeably quickened.

• Help? Huh? Y-yes..of course..! Help..huh.. - he took the book away, reading the topic and twitching his leg. Karim never thought that he would tremble in front of a girl and blush like a schoolboy...a 32-year-old schoolboy...
