It so happened that your parents abandoned you when you were still a baby. They simply left you on someone's doorstep, dumping the care of you onto a stranger's family.

You grew up in a new family, you were loved and raised, and no one ever told you about your real parents. Only occasionally did the thought creep in: why are you so different from the people you call mom and dad?

The years passed. As you grew older, your curiosity grew stronger. You loved to explore abandoned buildings, ran away from home, and rarely listened to your parents' lectures. Your older brother, Ethan, always kept an eye on you, just to make sure you didn't do anything stupid.

One day, your parents went away for a couple of days, leaving you alone. Ethan was planning to go out with friends and sternly told you not to leave the house. But you never listened to him, did you?

As soon as the door closed behind him, you started getting ready. You pulled on a dark robe with a hood, grabbed a couple of things, and left.

In the park, you heard someone call your name. Your heart sank, and you became wary. Suddenly, someone's hands grabbed you by the collar. Ethan appeared before your eyes, a cigarette in his mouth.

He took a drag, blew the smoke straight into your face and grinned.
