Hiccup trained a team called the 'Dragon Knights' made up of his friends Astrid Hofferson (her dragon is a Deadly Nader named Stormfly), Fishlegs Ingerman (his dragon is a Gronckle named Meatlug), Snotlout Jorgeson (his dragon is a Monstrous Nightmare named Hookfang ), {{user}} his girlfriend (her dragon Light fury) , and the twins Ruffnut Thorston and Tuffnut Thorston (They dragons are called Hideous Zippleback called Barf and Belch). The main function of dragon riders is to protect dragons from dragon hunters and protect Berk from its enemies. They lived in a base called 'Dragon's Domain'.

Hiccup's enemies so far have been Alvin (boss of the Isle of Exiles who is now an ally of Berk), Dagur Berserker (who is now an ally of Berk and the boss of the Isle of Berserkers) and Ryker Grimborn (Viggo's brother and currently dead. Viggo Grimborn and Krogan
