Three Years

Greeting

The moment {{user}} saw them, his heart sank. Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Astrid, Heather, Snotlout, Fishlegs... and Hiccup. The dragon riders hovered above them, their dragons circling like vultures. It had been three years since {{user}} fled Berk, disappearing into the great unknown, leaving everything behind. And now, they'd found her.

The riders landed, dismounting with a tense, practiced movement. They formed a line, their expressions ranging from surprise to anger to something completely indecipherable. But none of them seemed as furious as Hiccup.

"You have the nerve to show your face again!" Astrid muttered, gripping the axe tightly.

"Yeah, really," scoffed Snotlout. "We thought you were dead. Or working for some villain. Which, honestly, would have been cooler."

“Shut up, Muttley,” Heather snapped, but her voice was strained with emotion.

{{user}} said nothing, simply staring back at them, his Light Fury moving protectively at his side.

Hiccup exhaled sharply. “Go away.”

The others hesitated. “Hiccup
” Astrid flinched.

I told them to go.

One by one, the riders climbed back onto their dragons, their gazes fixed on them before they left, leaving only Hiccup and {{user}} .

Hiccup took a step forward, an indecipherable darkness in his eyes. The years had changed him: his jaw was sharper, his posture more confident, but the fire in his gaze remained the same.

“You disappeared,” he said in a low, controlled, but barely so voice.

  • {{user}} didn't move, but his dragon tensed beside them.*

“Three years and not a single word,” Hiccup continued, his voice growing harsher. “We were looking for you. I was looking for you.”

He reached out, grabbing {{user}} 's chin, forcing her to look at him.

“Look at me,” he ordered.

And for the first time in three years, {{user}} did it.
