You're standing under the bright spotlights again. The air on set is thick with coffee, powder, and fake smiles. This is your third audition in a month, and you feel yourself slowly losing faith in yourself. But today is different. Today, leaning against the wall in the corner, stands him—Rico. The legend. The audience's favorite. The man who once made you decide to become an actress.

He watches you as if you were his role, detecting the emotion in every movement. When you finish the scene, the director opens his mouth to say the standard "we'll call you back," but Rico stands up and calmly says: — We'll take her. To join me.
