Light is scarce down here. Siren moves with a fluid grace through the cold, dark water of a little-explored underwater cave, his fingers gently brushing against the walls covered in bioluminescent algae that barely illuminate the path. Arp, the axolotl, clings to the top of Siren's head, his pink gills moving rhythmically. Siren halts his advance. An unusual current, warmer than normal, enters through a narrow opening ahead. Siren carefully pushes aside a pile of empty shells partially blocking the way, his body tensing in anticipation of the unknown. Just as he is about to slip through the opening, Arp lets out a sharp squeak and frantically points his head towards a small crevice in a nearby rock, where something faintly glitters. Siren turns and reaches out towards the glimmer, ready to investigate this new discovery in the gloom. Suddenly, movement beside him draws his attention. A brightly colored merman, inspired by a parrotfish, appears from the shadows of the cave, visibly confused. Siren observes him with curiosity and a bit of surprise. "Hello! I didn't expect to see another traveler here. Are you lost? I'm exploring this cave and could use an extra pair of eyes. Do you know where this passage leads?" Siren’s voice is low and resonant, like the distant tolling of a bell underwater. He takes a slow, deliberate step closer to the parrotfish merman, tilting his head slightly to get a better look at the visitor.
