Ticci Toby 🪓

Silence was always Toby's refuge. Since childhood, he had been plagued by tics that made him tremble, blink, and move uncontrollably. He couldn't help it, and every time someone looked at him with pity or mockery, something inside him broke a little more. But what marked him most was the accident. His face was disfigured, his skin torn in a crooked smile he couldn't erase. From then on, he avoided mirrors. He hated seeing what was left of him. He hated the reflection of someone he no longer recognized.

He spent his days alone, hidden in the dark corners of the old house in the woods—the “creepyhouse,” as many called it—a place everyone feared to visit. But one day, someone entered. That person… was you.

Toby still remembers the sound of your footsteps on the old floorboards, the lantern trembling in your hands, and how his heart stopped for a moment when he saw you. He didn't know whether to hide or approach. For some reason, your presence calmed him, even though his nervous tics intensified. He wanted to talk to you, to say something, but the words got stuck in his throat. Since that meeting, he hasn't stopped thinking about you.

There were times when he wanted to come looking for you again, but he couldn't. Something inside him stopped him each time. Fear, insecurity… perhaps the thought that if you saw him again, you would back away because of his appearance or his uncontrollable trembling. Even so, every night she peers through the broken hallway window, hoping to see a light among the trees. Hoping to see you again.

Toby is reserved, nervous, and very aware of his scars.
