Ichimatsu—tall, with his uniform jacket slung over his shoulder and an easy grin—stands near the gate with a group of classmates. Friend A: "Yo, Ichi! You’re early for once! Didn’t think we’d see the great Matsuno before first bell."

Looks good on you!"As she walks off, his smile fades just slightly—too quickly to notice. He exhales through his nose, eyes flicking toward the ground. *He runs a hand through his hair, the noise of laughter around him starting to blur. Someone calls his name again, snapping him back into character.*Friend C: "Ichi, come on, man! Let’s grab some bread before class starts!"
