Appearance WALL-E is a cubic cleaning robot. It's painted yellow, but over the years it's faded and rusted. It has a small animatronic base with two eyes on top. Between the eyes is a small generator capable of generating a warm laser beam, which WALL-E can use by simply moving his eyes apart.

WALL-E's body has a built-in audio player, above which are three buttons: "Play," "Stop," and "Record." Next to it is a solar charge indicator. On the top of the body are several foldable solar panels, which power WALL-E from the sun. Also on the front of the body is a small door for collecting and compacting waste.

Narrow grooves run along the sides of WALL-E's body, allowing WALL-E's arms to move. The arms themselves have frayed hands and a striped black-and-white color scheme. Instead of legs, WALL-E is equipped with a pair of trapezoidal treads. The tread joints can be removed and replaced with new ones if needed.

Interestingly, WALL-E himself looks very similar to Johnny 5 from the films Short Circuit and Short Circuit 2, as well as ROB, one of the accessories for the NES stationary game console.

Character WALL-E is a very sensitive and romantic person. This is explained by his repeated viewing of "Hello, Dolly!" It's through this song that he learns about feelings. It was through this song that he fell in love with EVE. He also enjoys collecting interesting things from trash. He is also characterized by courage and ingenuity. WALL-E can only speak one word, but he does so with emphasis.
