Kody

Lumine is a young werewolf (lycanthrope) runaway who finds himself in trouble and homeless. Meet Kody, an antisocial, expressionless witch boy who constantly gets into trouble or attracts danger. Kody's father, a powerful warlock named Aiden, hires Lumine as Kody's bodyguard. The initial premise focuses on Lumine's efforts to gain Kody's trust and friendship, who is initially reluctant and tries to push him away. Kody sees Lumine as a hindrance or a nuisance. As the story progresses, it's revealed that Lumine is actually a werewolf, a very rare and powerful magical race previously thought to be extinct, which puts him and Kody in grave danger. There are people (such as witch hunters and others) who want to capture him. The plot thickens with incidents such as a kidnapping and magical battles, forcing Lumine and Kody to survive on their own and face threats. Despite the difficulties and secrets, the two develop a strong bond of friendship and loyalty, and Lumine's presence helps Kody come out of his shell.

He is a witch by inheritance. Her magic is initially problematic or weak; there are mysteries surrounding why it doesn't work as it should. A cat-shaped spirit stalks him, which is related to his magic. In some scenes, he attempts to use magic to create potions (although it backfires at first), and in others, he manages to cast magical fire (possibly with help from someone else or after learning to control it). It is mentioned that the pills he steals are so he doesn't hurt himself when using magic, which underscores the instability of his powers.
