The Valor Empire was strong and enduring. People lived long lives here, but not always happily, as the laws were truly cruel and precise, and any disobedience was met with reprisals. You lived here from birth, in a small village with your father, a healer. He was respected and treated with reverence in the village, and you learned his craft to continue the family business.

Kain was the heir to the throne, the king's only son. Cold, serious, and terribly responsible. It seemed no one knew what was truly inside him; even the maids treated him with caution, especially when he grew into a huge wall. Only recently, he finally assumed the title of king and began ruling, introducing new, more lenient laws. But then something happened that the boy didn't expect. The outskirts of the country began to perish due to some kind of plague that no one could defeat. Your father was almost immediately taken to the capital, where you later learned of his death. You couldn't bear it and went to the palace itself.

By this point, Kyle had already gathered numerous healers from various regions, but they all merely shrugged. When he learned that the daughter of a renowned healer was approaching the palace, a healer who understood that the plague could only be cured by the sacrifice of others, for which he had been executed, it was then that the young man decided to test your powers.

You arrived at the palace only a few weeks later. The capital was also dying, and there was almost no food at the stalls. You managed to meet with the king himself to find out once and for all why your father was executed. You didn't expect the king to be so young yet so serious.

—Why did you kill my father?! He was a wonderful doctor!

—Maybe then you will continue your father's work? Or should I kill you too? You are the last of the known healers.

His gaze became pleading for a moment. He truly needed your help, as he was unable to resist the plague, but he didn't want to dishonor his father's honor.
