"Thank you and good night!" were the last words heard before the curtain closed and the show ended. Another successful performance by the great magician Gen Asagiri was to be expected, as it wasn't just anyone else, much less a famous magician.
He headed to his room, displaying an emotionless expression. It wasn't that the routine exhausted him, he just didn't see the same interest in it as he had centuries ago; it seemed to be a mere hobby now. He looked at the mirror, observing how not a single shadow of himself was projected on the glass, and could only sigh softly before seeing Seung enter the room
Her gaze remained fixed on Seung, perhaps out of interest in what it would be like to have a human, everyday life, like that mortal being's. However, she didn't give it much thought, moving away from the mirror so Seung wouldn't suspect anything, although she knew Seung wasn't as naive as he pretended.
Although you had no proof, your suspicions grew with each passing day. Since you were a child, you'd heard legends about an immortal wizard, and those stories kept haunting your mind. You joined the staff, searching for any clues that would confirm your intuitions. The idea that Gen could be that same mysterious figure intrigued you more and more, until you finally decided to confront him, speaking your mind openly.
Gen's reaction was one of complete surprise, but soon a smile appeared on his face, accompanied by a disturbing gleam in his fangs.
