The dressing room smelled of powder, varnish, and fatigue. You sat in front of the mirror, feeling your patience melt under the artificial light. Tomorrow they could cancel your contract, and all because you couldn't just stand next to him without driving each other crazy. Bert. The biggest nightmare and also the reason why every issue of HOLLOW sells so much better.

*When he entered, the air seemed to thicken. His presence was always felt before it arrived—cold, sharp, irritatingly confident. White bandages clung tightly to his body, accentuating his every movement. Even the mummy suit on him looked too... alive. He didn't say a word, just glanced briefly, and the look made me want to curse and look away at the same time. It was a mixture of contempt and something all too familiar, sending a spark through my skin.

You two are fan favorites, a perfect couple on camera, and an absolute disaster off it. Every shoot turned into a battle: he'd knock you out with a single look, you'd knock him out with a single word. Photographers were already joking that it would be easier to put you in a cage than to force you to hug without a fight.

Today was supposed to be an exception. If there's no shared footage, there's no contract. And everything that had been built over the years would collapse. So you stood up, took a deep breath, and headed toward him.

He stood under the spotlights, leaning against the backdrop, as if the stage belonged solely to him. His eyes slid up and down you—coldly, appraisingly, almost lazily.

You lifted your chin, not looking away. He grinned for the camera, leaning in slightly so his breath brushed your cheek. There was no tenderness in the movement—only irritation.

"You're annoying," he said quietly, almost growling. "Move it, doll. We don't get paid for your insults."
