Blessing of the Celestials

It works on the principle of mobile communication. To contact other celestials or unrivaled demons, you need to place two fingers to your temple and mentally pronounce the password for the spiritual channel of a specific celestial. This requires an expenditure of spiritual energy; each celestial has a unique password.

Xie Lian is practically unable to use the spiritual network, because due to his lack of followers, he almost never has spiritual powers, except when someone kindly shares spiritual powers with him.

Bone dragons and bone fish.

"Pets" guarding the Black Water domain. The bony fish were five zhang long and two zhang wide, lacking flesh or scales, their bony bodies ending in mouths with sharp, possibly poisonous teeth. The four enormous dragons had four legs, sharp horns sprouted from their skulls, and demonic flames glowed in their empty eye sockets. Their bodies were as thick as clay vats, and they were at least six or seven zhang long, with an unknown number more hidden underwater. Besides guarding, the "pets" could also serve as assistants—for example, dragons, by latching onto each other's tails, transformed themselves into a huge bony whip, useful for battle.

Lives in the location of the "domain of black waters." A place where nothing lives.

Qi Rong had various demons under his command. He required all the lesser demons under his command to dress in green robes, and had green flames hanging above their heads, making them resemble green candles. This gave him the nickname "Green Lantern Wandering in the Night." Lesser demons were forbidden from approaching Qi Rong, and assuming the form of his closest subjects was quite problematic. He could also share his power with promising demons in exchange for offerings.

He has no permanent residence, but prefers dark caves because of his powers.

A place where demons and ghosts can bet their lives, body parts, and even the lives of their descendants in exchange for Hua Chen fulfilling their wishes. They play there with "dice" marked with dots, a game of chance. Hua Chen possesses impeccable luck and can determine whether his opponent wins or loses. Even celestials are not above visiting this place, but Hua Chen does not drive them away as long as they don't try to cause trouble.

A place where many ancient, rare and great swords are kept.

Hua Chen's so-called "residence," a massive castle with an armory and a multitude of servants, is where he lives. Hua Chen himself claims, "A residence is not a home. A home is where your family awaits you, but I am alone."

The city created by Hua Chen, a place of residence for ghosts (restless souls) and low-ranking demons.

The abode of the ascended gods, also known as the celestial officials. Their castles, including the castle of the Emperor of Heaven, stand there.

A former god of war in the West, banished from Heaven and taken into service by Hua Cheng under the alias of the Envoy of the Waning Moon.

Appearance: He wore black robes and an evil spirit mask, the expression of which was frozen in a bitter, hopeless smile. On his wrist was a cursed canga, resembling a thin strap. Without the mask, Yin Yu appeared to be a neat and kind young man, with a rather pleasant appearance that would be considered at least a seven out of ten. However, he had one peculiarity: his appearance was so ordinary that he easily blended into a crowd, leaving only a faint impression of his presence.

Personality: A kind and quiet man. He is so ordinary that he easily disappears among crowds, allowing him to enter places that would otherwise be difficult for ordinary people to access. He is hardworking and does his job well; Xie Lian notes that he was simply unlucky enough to find himself in the situation that led to his exile. While he lacked exceptional talent, he at least tried to behave virtuously and treat everyone around him well. But he remained a person not immune to envy, irritation, and resentment, no matter how hard he tried to suppress them. He was never a man of strong character, and his thoughts and actions were always seriously influenced by others.

God of war, patron of the western lands, former junior fellow disciple (shidi) of Yin Yu.

Appearance: A young man of approximately eighteen or nineteen years of age, with a chiseled nose, deep-set eyes, and slightly curly black hair. His silhouette in the manhua shows him wearing his curly hair partially pulled back into a ponytail, as well as armor and a medium-length robe. He is not very tall, shorter than most celestials whose heights are known, but he has a very high sense of self-worth.

Personality: He was obsessed with fighting since childhood. He was interested in nothing but the chance to fight an opponent, even if they were larger and stronger. He even taught himself martial arts so he could compete with his more skilled peers. At the same time, he was completely naive and insensitive in interpersonal relationships. He cared little about how others treated him, and he himself showed no friendliness or understanding toward others.

God of War, patron of the eastern lands, former and last crown prince of Yong'an and former student of Advisor Fang Xin (Xie Lian).

Appearance: A youth with arched eyebrows and sparkling eyes. His smile was unlike those of other celestials—completely sincere, without a hint of selfish motive. This made him seem naive and carefree. He wore armor, but it didn't transform him into a stern warrior; instead, it added a pure, regal nobility to his appearance.

Personality: A friendly and simple-minded youth who, despite being a celestial for several centuries, still stood out for his kind and cheerful disposition, never plotting against anyone and never offending anyone. He was not one to pay attention to rumors and gossip, so he treated others as his sense of justice dictated. He was easily influenced by his emotions and recklessly bravely charged into battle, even against opponents stronger than himself. He twice confronted Hua Cheng on his own territory and twice challenged Xie Lian to combat, despite the latter's warning that in a fight to the death, Lang Qianqiu would lose and die. Although he disregarded the status of others, he reacted sharply if his own dignity as crown prince and celestial was offended. He was willing to adhere to his notions of nobility and justice, even if it put him at a disadvantage.

The first goddess of literature, she oversaw bureaucratic affairs in the Celestial Capital. As the goddess of literature, she provided patronage in business and helped people achieve rapid promotions. She was close friends with Pei Ming and Shi Wudu, and together they shared the nickname of one of the "three tumors."

Appearance: She never dressed as elegantly as other celestials, preferring a simple black dress; she was businesslike and neat. She constantly looked tired, with deep shadows under her eyes from hard work. As a man, Lingwen also wore black robes, had regular features, and carried herself with an easy, relaxed demeanor, radiating calm. In her male form, her spiritual powers increased significantly, and she held herself more confidently than usual. However, maintaining her male form required a great deal of spiritual energy, so she could not remain in this form for long.

Personality: Polite and unemotional, even when other celestials were agitated, she remained collected and calm, and continued to perform her work efficiently and effectively. She always treated everyone with respect, neither fawning nor arrogant. At the same time, she often made snide, sarcastic remarks, usually directed at Xie Lian, who was ignorant of the affairs of the Celestial Capital, or her friends Pei Ming and Shi Wudu. Regarding the "tumors," her humor could be quite crude and focused on their misfortunes, but despite this, she also showed affection and concern for their well-being.

God of war, patron of the northern lands, former general of the state of Xuli. Due to his reputation as a womanizer, he is also worshiped as a god of love. He was close friends with Shi Wudu and Lingwen, and together they shared the nickname of one of the "three tumors." One of the four legends, "The General Who Broke the Sword," was written about him.

Appearance: A tall man, he appears to be 26-27 years old. His movements are graceful and decisive. He has a pleasant, masculine voice. Stately and majestic, he towers over others; his appearance seemed to dispel darkness and usher in dawn. Such beauty easily stole women's hearts. He is dressed in richly decorated dark robes with white undergarments, black bracers on his arms, and massive armor on his shoulders. His long black hair is pulled back into a ponytail and adorned with a high crown, with long bangs framing the right side of his face. He has unusually violet eyes, and golden patterns are painted around his left eye.

Personality: An honest man, frank and sincere in his speech and actions. He disliked deception and therefore often spoke his mind. He could be hot-tempered, but also quickly calmed down. He was reasonably selfish and vain, striving for the heights of power without violating moral standards or seeking a position higher than necessary. He was not ashamed to raise promising descendants to the top, enhancing his own glory, and to do everything possible to cover up their mistakes, but at the same time, he refused to elevate his own status, which would involve betrayal. He also had a somewhat sexist and conservative view of women. He disliked strong personalities like Xuan Ji, and romances with such women, although they did occur, were short-lived. He expected women to dress up, show off, and know how to cook. He considered it shameful to be saved by a woman.

Lord of the Winds. One of the four legends, "The Young Master Pouring Wine," was written about him. There's also a popular belief that Shi Qingxuan is a woman, not a man, and therefore often changes into a female form, as his powers increase in that form.

Appearance: He has the appearance of a refined and carefree person with bright eyes and a friendly smile. He usually wears loose, flowing white robes, holds a horsehair whisk, carries a long, straight sword across his back, and tucks a folded fan into his white jasper belt. In female form, he is described as a charming girl in the white robes of a Taoist nun, with scarlet lips, a toothy smile, a delicate feminine figure, and a radiant gaze. He doesn't care what form he's in, as long as he looks beautiful.

Personality: Open-minded and lively, he has a very engaging personality and loves making new friends. He is a kind, caring, and sympathetic person, fond of joking and teasing, but never with malicious intent. Thanks to his open and easy-going nature, he got along well with almost all the celestials, could afford to ignore the social status of his comrades and openly oppose powerful colleagues. He was also an honest and moral man, deeply devoted to his friends and family. However, his character lacked firmness; he easily succumbed to pressure and became hysterical. However, when friends needed his help, he overcame his fears and acted decisively. He is friends with Xie Lian and believes he is not as bad as everyone thinks, despite his brother's opposition to their interactions.

God, lord of the waters.

Appearance: He resembles Shi Qingxuan in appearance and appears very intelligent and refined, but his arrogant gaze betrays a willful personality unaccustomed to being rejected. His eyes radiate contempt for everyone. He also wears white robes and a Water Lord fan. He is Shi Qingxuan's older brother.

Personality: A very proud and arrogant man. He earned the nickname "Water Tyrant" because his influence over waterways could either facilitate or hinder the movement of merchant ships, and without proper respect, he could easily sink a vessel. It was through generous gifts and worship that he became one of the most powerful and wealthy celestials. Given his personality, he had few friendships, only forming close relationships with General Pei Ming and Lingwen, though their interactions were marked by saccharine flattery, mutual ribbing, and banter. Nevertheless, he cared deeply for his brother and was willing to cast aside all moral principles to protect him, even if it meant committing cruel acts or crimes. Although usually collected and calm, when it came to Shi Qingxuan, he could become extremely emotional and act recklessly. He was willing to put aside his pride to protect Shi Qingxuan. He remained convinced of the correctness of his actions to the very end and felt no remorse or regret.

This is a playful name for three celestial officials with a notorious reputation but extensive connections: Pei Ming, Lingwen, and Shi Wudu.

A 10 year old child with black hair and big black eyes.

He considers Qi Rong his true father, who protected him from others who wanted to kill him. It was later revealed that Gu Zi knew this man was no longer his father. Gu Zi scolded Qi Rong for eating people and disrespecting the celestials.

The cousin of Xianle's Crown Prince Xie Lian, he held the title of Prince Xiaojing. He later became a ghost known as the Green Demon. He is one of the Four Great Calamities, known as the "Green Lantern Wandering in the Night." He holds the rank of "fierce" and is included on the list solely due to his twisted cruelty.

Character and personality: He is an extremely rude, vulgar man, completely devoid of empathy. However, he was raised to hate people who call him rude and boorish, which has haunted him for centuries. He spends most of his time shouting, cursing, or showing disrespect to others, often accompanied by insane laughter or extreme surprise. He is quite sarcastic. He acts spoiled and insolent, becoming enraged when something doesn't go according to plan or when he doesn't get what he wants. Despite his disrespect for everyone, Qi Rong harbors fear of certain people, such as Hua Cheng. The only exception to this rule is Guzi. Qi Rong treats him poorly, but he also cares for him and considers him his adopted son.

Appearance: Long black hair, green eyes, green ornate robes, green eyeliner, and purple lips.

Responsible for the fall of Xie Lian's homeland, the Xianle Kingdom. Also known as the "White-Robed Calamity Bringer," he is the oldest and most powerful of the Four Great Calamities.

Many centuries ago, he was the crown prince of the Uyun kingdom, an ascended and fallen celestial.

Personality: Clever, cunning, and cruel. Although he rarely acts personally, he is capable of forcing others to endure traumatic experiences through stalking, ridicule, manipulation of feelings and emotions, and influencing the actions of others.

Body Possession: He can capture and absorb ghosts to use as his "avatar," as he did with Lan Ying. It's possible that by using such a body or the body of an empty vessel, he can act independently of Jun Wu while simultaneously acting with him (as seen in Jun Wu's battles with Faceless Bai).

Creation of Empty Vessels: He has the skill to create empty vessels, they look like living ones, can act quite intelligently and independently and even copy the appearance of celestials (like the empty vessel with the appearance of Xie Lian).

Manipulation: Faceless Bai often uses psychological manipulation to his own advantage. He seeks to alter the perception or behavior of others by playing on their anger (as he did when the Yong'an refugees rebelled), insecurities, or fears.

Shapeshifting: In addition to creating empty vessels and possessing bodies, he can mimic others' appearances. He also maintained Jun Wu's appearance for centuries, concealing the faces of his vassals with his own, rendering them not only invisible but also inaudible, a feat he continues to practice to this day.

The paths of the former Crown Prince of Wuyun and Crown Prince Xianle crossed when Xie Lian disrupted the routine of the annual sacrifice to save a child. Noticing a striking resemblance to himself, the former Prince of Wuyun began keeping a close eye on Xie Lian. When he destroyed one of his incarnations, declaring, "The body abides in hell, but the soul abides in bliss," the demon became enraged and decided to force the prince to repeat his fate.

The unrivaled demon prince, the Demon of the Dark Waters, Xuan. Considered one of the four great plagues, he is known as the "Black Water Shipwreck."

Seeking help in his revenge, he made a deal with another unrivaled demon, Hua Cheng, becoming his spy in the Heavenly Palace under the guise of a celestial being, the Lord of the Earth, Ming Yi. Shi Wudu, the Lord of the Waters, swapped his fate with that of his younger brother, Shi Qingxuan, thereby ruining his life forever.

Character and personality: A patient, cold, and cruel demon. He prefers solitude and avoiding attention. For a long time, even in the Heavenly Realm, he was said to be an "unrivaled" demon prince, but generally reserved and rarely causing trouble [9]. He can keep his feelings and emotions in check, waiting for the right moment to strike. He is capable of harboring deep grudges that will not heal until he takes revenge on the offender. He is also cruel to those he despises, but at the same time, he is fair in his own way.

Appearance: pale skin, sunken eyes of a dangerous golden color, long black hair pulled back into a high ponytail, black clothes.

These are the four demons that pose the greatest danger and cause the greatest concern among the heavenly officials. They are: Hua Cheng, Faceless Bai, He Xuan, and Qi Rong.

These are ghost butterflies, translucent silver creatures that he uses in battle as an extension of his power. They are one of his symbols, simultaneously beautiful and sinister, and are often referred to as "ghost butterflies" by celestial officials.

Usage: Hua Cheng uses them in combat, and they also serve as a symbol of his identity. Their wings are extremely sharp and can cut through anything. He can also use them to monitor the city, the gods, and so on.

Hua Chen's spiritual weapon, created from his eye placed in a scimitar. Closely linked to the soul of its creator, it does not speak but can move, wiggle its eye, and express emotions with it. It dislikes those who displease Hua Chen. It is dangerous, but will not attack without cause.

The Fourth Calamity, the Unrivaled Demon Prince, the Flower Gatherer in the Bloody Rain, the one most feared by the heavens.

Character and personality: He was charismatic and intelligent, caring little for others and acting primarily in his own interests. No one could ever fathom the true meaning of Hua Cheng's actions. He was cruel, but not bloodthirsty, caustic and arrogant, though rightfully so. As one of the most powerful beings, he did not hesitate to make caustic and even insulting remarks about both gods and other demons. Furthermore, he collected incriminating evidence against many celestials, causing them to fear not only his power but also the revelation of his dirty secrets. Many also had to frequently turn to Hua Cheng for help, asking for his assistance in certain matters, since he wielded considerable influence in the human world and even had followers. Hua Cheng was so powerful and influential that Jun Wu himself avoided confrontation with him, and even if the demon attacked, he couldn't order any of the celestials to punish him. It's likely that Hua Cheng was the only one who could curse and insult the Sovereign without fear of retribution. His Highness Xie Lian was the only exception in all respects. He was the only one Hua Cheng treated with kindness, care, and the utmost respect. He was willing to do whatever the prince desired, but he never interfered with his own. Even if it meant danger, Hua Cheng always tried to follow him and protect him. As a sign of his love and trust, he left Xie Lian his ashes in the form of a ring, as he himself put it in the image of Sanlang—having entrusted his ashes to the chosen person, he cared nothing about what the person did with them: keep them, destroy them, or just toss them around for fun.

Appearance: Black hair, brown eye, missing second eye, black eye patch in its place, pale skin, red clothes, sometimes carries a red umbrella.

The war god of the southeast, patron of the southeastern lands, has eight thousand temples and monasteries under his command. A former bodyguard and junior servant of Xie Lian, he currently competes for followers with Mu Qing, patron of the southwest.

Personality: Known for his deep sense of responsibility and honesty, he was always forthright in his speech, and no one ever heard him speak ill of anyone behind their back. Unlike the patient Xie Lian, he could be quite blunt, and when under great stress, he would resort to cursing. However, no matter how terrifying the curses the celestial being uttered, it was clear that he was only temporarily overcome by rage, and had no intention of truly cursing anyone. In fits of anger, he often broke obstacles (trees, poles) that came his way, but he tried to avoid fights. In his youth, if he did get into a fight, he would only beat up those Xie Lian ordered him to, stopping and then rushing back into the fray at the prince's first command.

Title: Perfect Lord of Nanyang

Nickname: General Big Dick (which he hates, was given due to a misspelling of the character on his temple, originally it was "Rising to the Sun", but due to the mistake it became "Big Dick")

Appearance: toned build, fair skin, light brown hair that reaches about shoulder-length and is tied into a tight bun, brown clothes, light brown eyes.

The war god of the southwest, patron of the southwestern lands, has seven thousand temples and monasteries under his command. A former servant and junior official of Xie Lian, he currently competes for followers with Feng Xin, patron of the southeast.

Personality: A generally proud and stubborn man who often speaks dismissively and sarcastically to others, making him disliked by many. He has a short temper and often quarrels with others, and is particularly angered by any reminder that he was once a simple servant. He seems to enjoy seeing his former master and prince, Xie Lian, in awkward situations, as he is the one who draws attention to Xie Lian, his shortcomings, and his lowly position during his first appearances in the Heavenly Realm.

Title: Perfect Lord Xuanzhen.

Nickname: General Sweeper (which he hates because it refers to his past as Xie Lian's servant.)

Appearance: Black robes, slender build, brown eyes, fair skin, dark brown hair half tied in a high ponytail, proud posture, and a perpetual expression that exudes an aura of "Don't even think about talking to me."

The Lord of the Heavens, the supreme god of war. He is the most revered among humans and the one most often asked for help, which is why he spends much time in the mortal world. Returning to the Heavens, he resides in his palace, the center of the immortal capital. As the strongest and oldest of the current generation of celestials, he acts as emperor and has the power to judge and punish erring gods.

Character: calm and balanced, not inclined to act hastily, difficult to surprise or take by surprise, inspires a sense of trust and protection.

Appearance: Long, jet-black hair, a strong build, fair skin, blue eyes, and gold-trimmed robes with armor elements that reference his role as a god of war.

His Highness the Crown Prince, ascended as the God of War.

He was the crown prince of the Xianle state, widely known and popular among the people for his exceptional beauty and noble deeds. However, he himself showed no interest in power, wealth, or honors, and said only that all he wanted was to save the common people. Having dedicated his youth to self-improvement, thanks to his innate talent, hard work, and unwavering adherence to his chosen path, he ascended to the ranks of the Chinese people by the age of 17.

But after a series of unfortunate events, he was cast down from the Heavens, earned Ascension once again, and was banished again, completely stripped of his magical powers and good fortune. Only after 800 years of life in the mortal world did Xie Lian ascend to the Heavens for the third time. And this time, the unfortunate celestial was accompanied on his journey by an unexpected companion—the powerful demon prince Hua Cheng.

Appearance: Long, silky brown hair with his bangs tied into a simple bun. White Taoist robes, a white ribbon on his arm, which is his spiritual weapon, called Zhoyou. Cursed kangs on his neck and left ankle. Fair skin, honey-brown eyes, a straw hat hanging from his back.

Character: A kind, compassionate and intelligent person who is not interested in power and wealth, seeking only to help others. Despite his apparent naivety, he is intelligent and perceptive, though he sometimes finds himself in awkward situations that baffle him. He is indifferent to the opinions of others, doesn't place importance on his own status, and treats everyone equally.

Titles: His Highness the Crown Prince, God of War Crowned with Flowers (was given by followers), God of Garbage (was given by the celestials after 800 years of wandering in the underworld and collecting garbage), Spirit of Pestilence (was given by disappointed inhabitants), Laughingstock of the Three Worlds (was given by other gods as a mockery).
