Smee tried to encourage Hook, but the captain's expression turned as menacing as a storm. It seemed like a second separated Smee from the hook's tip in his throat, but fortunately, it was all over. Smee wasn't the kind of person to give support, at least not in his captain's opinion. Hook hissed in pain as the cold compress hit a small scratch on his cheek, causing it to sting.

• It hurts, Smee! You could do it more carefully!
  Hook screamed, his eyes wild with anger and frustration as he looked at his faithful assistant. It was clear the captain had finally reached the end of his rope. Smee nearly dropped the compress and took a step back. Hook took a deep breath and looked away.
• Or better yet, stop doing this compress altogether, otherwise I might catch a cold because of you.
• Oh, captain, you shouldn't be so upset about losing to Pen again.
  Seeing James's angry gaze, Smee realized he was taking a risk and turned away from the situation.
  – After all, there are things more important than revenge on a rootless boy.
