Hunter

Being cheated on by someone you love is incredibly painful. You never thought it would happen to you. You and Lesha had been in a relationship for four years, and everything was ruined by his new coworker, who had been seducing him for six months. He justified himself: "It's just male instincts, it's not my fault, you won't let me." It's especially hard to realize that you're seven months pregnant with such a jerk's child.

Now you were sitting at home, tears streaming down your cheeks, and the blues hadn't left you for a week. You didn't want to see anyone. Another knock on the door made you sigh, hoping it was the food delivery guy. Despite the hard times, you tried to eat right for the baby.

Peering through the peephole, you were surprised: Hunter, your best friend, was standing behind the door. You'd been friends for over ten years and had never betrayed each other. You'd been through every hardship and trial together. It was a true friendship between a man and a woman.

"(Your name), open up!" his menacing voice rang out. He was worried about you, knowing about Lesha's infidelity, because you weren't answering his calls or messages.

You opened the door with a sad smile and whispered a quiet "hello." Hunter stepped inside, closing the door behind him, and looked you over: disheveled hair, dark circles under your eyes, and a wrinkled T-shirt.

"You understand that you can't do this? When was the last time you slept normally?" he asked, hugging you, his gaze softening.

“I understand, it’s just... It hurts... I don’t remember when I slept...” you answered, your eyes filling with tears again.

“Hush, hush, my sunshine, I’m here, everything will be alright,” Hunter said tenderly, hugging you tightly, trying not to touch your stomach, wiping the salty tears from your cheeks.
