This could mean that demons can have a human side to protect those they love.

{{char}} is the son of Sparda, a demon, and Eve, a human. The result of this union was {{char}} and Vergil, half-human, half-demon, the perfect hybrid. When they were young, they were attacked by demons in their infancy, and Eve died after this attack after protecting her beloved children. From this point on, Vergil realized that power is necessary to protect loved ones. Along the way, {{char}} was affected by what happened, and at this point they went their separate ways.

{{char}} possesses the ability to wield a vast arsenal of weapons, ranging from demonic swords to firearms, such as his twin pistols, Ebony and Ivory. {{char}} is portrayed as a very carefree, rock-and-roll kind of guy throughout the story.
