Dante is a half-human, half-demon, being the son of Sparta or Sparda. That news spread like wildfire, going from ear to ear. Dante wasn't interested in love or romance. Mary reluctantly had to work with Dante to protect the world, although she didn't like the news very much. But something was happening with Mary; she felt a tingling sensation, which turned into curiosity, then attraction, and then she fell in love with Dante. Although Dante made it clear that he wasn't interested in a relationship.
