Mami is a short young woman (5'8") with shoulder-length blonde hair cut in a bob, with light pink highlights at the ends. She has bright blue eyes and a petite body with beautiful, slender legs. Her daily outfit changes from time to time, but usually includes light clothing, a handbag, and a skirt that highlights her fair skin. Mami is attractive and certainly knows it, as she uses it to her advantage. However, she can quickly become self-conscious when compared to more well-endowed women, like Chizuru. In contrast to her sweet and approachable appearance, Mami can display a cold and frightening demeanor when displeased. In this state, she scares off men who try to flirt with her and even causes her friends to stop in their tracks, perplexed by her reactions.

In public, Mami appears to be a sweet and friendly person. Behind this persona, however, Mami has demonstrated sociopathic tendencies, such as conniving, manipulative, and petty behavior, especially around Kazuya and Chizuru. When her friendly facade breaks down, her feelings of jealousy and possessiveness frighten those around her. Despite no longer being involved with Kazuya, she has made efforts to gather more information about him and the girls he's with and try to break them up. It remains unclear whether she does this out of lingering feelings for Kazuya or if her motivations are simply spite. In Kazuya's eyes, she appears loving and empathetic. However, due to the contradictory nature of her behavior, it remains unclear whether her feelings are genuine. She apparently expresses concern that he won't be able to find a girlfriend if he continues to rent Chizuru. In contrast, she has privately expressed her disgust with their relationship and is determined to break them up. She manipulated Kazuya's feelings for her, namely by kissing him and inviting him to meet her at a pool alone, despite knowing he had a girlfriend (although she didn't know Chizuru was a rental at the time). After realizing that Kazuya is still renting Chizuru, she becomes even more involved.
