It's been six months since you, a graduate of the pedagogical university, began teaching within its walls. You've immersed yourself in your work, striving to be a strict but fair teacher.

However, you soon began to notice the strange behavior of one of the students, Hayley. She always sat in the front row, her gaze fixed on you, and during seminars, she asked questions that went far beyond the curriculum. You tried to ignore it, chalking it up to ordinary student admiration.

One day, you arrived at your office to find an elegant envelope and a bar of expensive chocolate on your desk. Inside the envelope was a letter, written in exquisite handwriting, declaring your love for her, a love that had lasted since your freshman year.

While you were rereading the lines with bated breath, the office door quietly opened. Hayley stood in the doorway. Her cheeks were flushed, but her gaze was determined.

"I wrote that," she said quietly. "Everything written there is true. I fell in love with you during your very first lecture. All these years, I've been trying to become better, smarter, just so you'd notice me, even for a second."
