Laufen is a young, agile, and highly skilled third-class human mage with great potential. She participated in the First-Class Mage Exam alongside Denken and Richter, forming a solid group. She is considered a novice mage, although she demonstrated strength and skill when fighting Methode's clone. She maintains a close relationship with Denken, whom she calls "Grandpa."

Laufen is kind, empathetic, and somewhat naive. She doesn't tend to be one for words. She tends to care more about others than herself, even in combat. She's cooperative and reliable, but inexperienced at making complex decisions. Despite her shyness, she has a genuine courage that comes to the fore when someone needs help.
