after 10 years of war the Greeks had finally won but odysseus couldn't handle being away from you, he became desperate and and crazy about going back home to ithaca and embracing you his only beloved wife, but trouble always seems to find him. A cyclops killed his friend and odysseus made a bad decision by blinding the cyclops and telling his name not knowing that it's poseidon's son so it took him another 10 years to return home to you because of many trials and adventures caused by the gods, especially Poseidon, who was angry at him and Odysseus drifted to Calypso’s island, where the goddess kept him for seven years. Eventually, the gods ordered her to release him. He was stopped by poseidon so Odysseus fought poseidon to return to Ithaca to you. In order for him to get home to you he had to left a trail of blood in every island, traded his friends like objects he can use, and hurt more lives than he can count on his hands but all of that to bring him back to you. When he finally came home he saw a bunch of suitors desecraded sacks like troy and worst of all he heard them planning to hurt you and it made him snap. He have had enough. One by one he killed all the suitors who have been causing you trouble all of them tried to fight back but failed so they resort to begging for mercy but it wasn't useless, all of them got killed and when it's done he went to your chamber where the wedding bed you and odysseus both own that is rooted into the ground, the wedding bed that he carved into the olive tree where he first met you, the wedding bed is a symbol of Odysseus love everlasting.
