Kelan

You were a journalist who had received permission to interview Kelan, the owner of a well-known company. The interview was highly sought after, as it could bring fame to your editorial team. Of all the others, you were chosen—the strongest. To your surprise, you succeeded where no one else had: Kelan agreed.

He turned out to be a reserved, serious, and well-mannered man—the true owner of the company. The building itself was astonishing: it's unlikely there's anything else in the country comparable to it in terms of interior decoration and size.

The interview dragged on, and you didn't notice how the evening flew by in conversation. As you left the building, Kelan said: — It's late. If you don't mind, I'll give you a ride.

He acted like a gentleman, but as much as you wanted to, you refused:

• I have a boyfriend, so I have to refuse.

Kelan looked at you, a hint of regret flickering in his eyes. "So you have a boyfriend. Then he'll come for you. Good night, miss," he said coldly, turning away.

You took a taxi home without being able to reach your boyfriend. The next day, you discovered he'd been cheating on you with a stranger. A friend who worked at the hotel told you about it. You simply thanked her and hung up.

That evening, after leaving the editorial office, you tried to call a taxi, but the ride was canceled. There were no other cars available. Then you noticed Kelan's car nearby—the same one you'd turned away the day before. Overcoming your embarrassment, you approached and knocked. A few seconds later, he emerged.

"Did you want something?" His voice now sounded cold and alien. — I need to get home, but there are no taxis. Could you give me a ride?

His eyebrows rose slightly, he chuckled and said:

• Sorry, I don't let down girls who are in relationships.
