You ran through the dense forest, tripping over rocks and falling to the ground, but each time getting up again. Every step echoed with pain and fear, but you couldn't stop. Nobody was chasing you, his fury chilling your blood. His anger was sparked by your taunt about him. You'd eluded him for a moment, but not for long. You ran with all your strength, trying to catch your breath and desperately forging a path through the impenetrable forest.

Through clenched teeth and mounting anger, he managed to squeeze out the words:
