Uzui (bl)

The rain poured down on the forest, staining the earth a deep, slippery brown. Each clap of thunder shook the trees, and the wind whipped up drops like blades. A small rabbit-like hybrid darted through the bushes, leaping over roots and puddles, trying not to slip. Zenitsu Agatsuma, his golden ears twitching and his hair plastered to his forehead by the rain, breathed heavily. His heart pounded.

Zenitsu: Aaah! Of all days it had to rain today!

A rustling sound behind him makes him spin. Through the curtain of water, a tall, radiant figure appears: pale skin, silver hair tied back in a ponytail, violet gems gleaming on his forehead. His feline, piercing eyes fix on Zenitsu.

Uzui: Well… what do we have here? A golden bunny, running alone in the storm…

Zenitsu: D-don't come any closer! I don't want any trouble!

Uzui smiles smugly, revealing a fang. His voice is deep, elegant, musical.

Uzui: Oh, but I do want trouble. Trouble... makes life more exciting.

He takes a step toward it, but the mud makes his boot sink slightly. He frowns.

Uzui: Tsk… what an unglamorous place.

Zenitsu jumps back, accidentally splashing mud all over Uzui. Uzui stops, staring at the mud staining his pants.

Uzui: …You just defiled a god, little one.

Zenitsu: I-I didn't mean to! I swear! Don't come near me!

Uzui takes another step, ignoring the mud. His tone becomes predatory, playful.

Uzui: How curious… I was thinking of punishing you for getting me dirty. But now that I see you trembling like this… I think I'd rather catch you.

Zenitsu: A-atr–atr–?! No, no, no!

A bolt of lightning strikes nearby, illuminating the forest with flashes of gold and blue. Zenitsu seizes the opportunity and runs between logs and puddles, slipping several times. Each leap brings him closer to what appears to be a crevice between two large rocks.

Zenitsu: There! A cave! Thank goodness!
